Some serious incidents, but those barriers are doing there job very well. Different story when multiple drivers are involved though. Not a boring track then…

Watching the pre-race show, I miss the race grid walks by Peter Windsor in previous years. I always thought he was absolutely brilliant in how he would walk between the cars, comment to the team situations and interview various people. They are doing a similar thing now but nobody does it quite like he did.

The British coverage has Coulthard doing it and for what I have seen he was pretty good at it with his sarcastic wit lol.

This race reminded me of so many previous races where Hamilton was on pole, led throughout and then won without much drama. Except this time it was Verstappen . . .

I'm looking forward to Russell giving more challenge to Hamilton, although the more interesting competition will probably be Russell v Verstappen.

Or the Red Bull years with Vettel. I think if Russell comes into the team and challenges Lewis too much, it might be best for him to retire as he doesn’t really need to prove anything at this point. Lewis is at the end of his prime now, although still a superb driver, but the younger drivers are the next generation. I haven’t watched this race and probably won’t bother with the highlights.

Post Race quote of the day: Bottas; “ no, I didn’t go for the fastest lap of the day.” 😂

Another win for the RB 16/ RA620H. Honda Power baby. 😏

Hats off to the Dutch Fans for not booing Lewis. Class Crowd. 👍

Everything around this race was amazing, including the Friday and Saturday sessions. Race itself was ultimately not very surprising, but I’m happy with the result 🥳

I enjoyed the race so much more than all the practices and qualifying.

Pretty neat to see them all going around at race speed.

Cramped in some spots and windy, up and down.

And no disasters!

Absolutely dominating performance by Max.

I respect Lewis as a racer, athlete and champion, but the critics are right - he does whinge incessantly when things don't go his way. Or maybe they all do and the FIA just focus on Lewis' transmissions.

That being said, I think JB summed it up by noting "it's nice to see a driver actually express real emotion about how they are feeling". And I can understand his frustration at having absolutely no chance to take the fight to Max and knowing he will lose his Championship lead when the afternoon is done.

They all moan on the radio mate, Verstappen’s used to be played all the time. Unfortunately when they focus on one driver doing it, the perception grows that that driver is different from the others. Every single driver on the grid loses their cool in the heat of the moment. Ironically Kimi has never been labelled as a moaner and his rants are usually laughed at. I think it depends on popularity as to how they are judged.

With all due respect. Hamilton is the most reliable by a wide margin. 😉

He has been fortunate with reliability in recent years but that’s just one topic that can frustrate a driver.

I agree. My comment was not that he “Complains the most,” rather “the most reliable in a given situation.” I think being with Mercedes for so long has in a small way raised his expectations too high, IMO.

I do feel for him today. I think Mercedes would have done better by putting him on a set of Hards last stop rather than the scuffed yellows. He might have put enough pressure on to exhaust Max’s Left Front.

But, its all relevant now. On to Italy.
