Should Max even do quali then? Might want to surprise Mercedes with the pace, save engine wear and risks (it was going to rain?) 😋
He definitely will, but not put too much wear and tear on his components no doubt.

Most likely all of qualifying will be working on race setup with high fuel loads and Hards in Q1. Should make it to Q2. Then mediums on a medium fuel load. I don’t think missing Q3 will be a problem if they choose to not push hard the end of Q2.

I would think Lewis will be fired up for this one too and especially after Monza. A champion will make the most of his nearest rival starting from the back I’d think. Bottas has nothing to lose though and will be doing his best to show Mercedes’ they’ve made a mistake letting him go.
Absolutely Lewis will be fired up. Bottas is on a different level since being freed from Toto. I honestly don’t think he cares about leaving Mercedes.
Personally I think he will finish his F1 career at Alpha and go back to the WRC. It’s his true passion deep down inside.
Mercedes needs to be careful how they treat him for the remainder. They had better give him what he needs when he needs it. No turning the power down from Mission Control if he can beat Lewis.
Max driving up through the field should be interesting as well. I don’t think RBR has that new Honda in full song yet. Hopefully Ferrari can come alive as well.
All bets are off if it rains heavy though.
Is the race still going to be run on Sunday? I missed the qualifying, how much rain did they get?

Awesome performance by Lando, absolutely chuffed for him!! I hope he converts it into his first win tomorrow, although I wish he’d got that milestone at a better and more prestigious track. All good though, fingers crossed!
That’s a strange comment. Lewis isn’t known for blaming people and often holds his hands up to mistakes. He’s already issued a statement and I’m right.

It’s like we’ve gone back in time! Good to see two of my favourite teams up there. Enjoyed qualifying. Not sure what the forecast is for tomorrow. I guess Max must be pleased. But I can’t see George holding up Lewis!

Mercedes released a statement that it was a “Tactical Decision with Max starting at the back.” Ill be very interested in how hard he races Max after this latest slap in the face by Toto towards him.
