Max went too fast into the corner at Brazil, but I don't think anyone can complain about Brazil now.

And I'm sorry but Toto has ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to tell the race director NOT to use a safety car as it 'interferes with racing'...

They all have free communication to the RD, they all can say what they like. The RD doesn’t have to listen or be influenced.

A VSC freezes the field in their current spacing unlike an ASC, which bunches everyone up, so a VSC does not have anywhere near the impact an ASC does.

So Max needs to be a second a lap faster for the rest of the race to close and pass.

Sorry but no, that does not give them the right to try and influence safety car decisions to keep or gain an advantage. I've never heard anyone else tell the race director not to use a safety car! That's disgraceful desperation.

IMO, Toto was arguing in favor of a Virtual Safety Car over an Actual Safety Car, not arguing against any type of Safety Car. A VSO would help Lewis a fair bit more than an ASO, yes, but a VSO was also more than sufficient to protect the track workers removing the Alfa and by not bunching everyone up, it makes the restart safer for everyone, not just Lewis.

It’s a highly competitive sport and let’s not forget Masi allowed Red Bull to negotiate their penalty in the last race which we’ve never seen before. It can’t all be in favour of Red Bull all the time even if you want it to be .

And honestly, the VSO could have helped AMG more than RBR because if Lewis had pitted, Max would not and then Lewis would come out with a faster car on far fresher tires and easily would have hunted Max down and passed him.

Apparently they regularly let the penalties be negotiated, we just never hear that radio chatter in TV. The sky presenters said do setting the impression it happens with all the teams.

The rules are a mess. Lewis is going to walk it cause of this track and the pace, but the rules of F1 are a complete joke, they chip and change each race, change for each driver it seems even. The race director sometimes does sometimes doesn't get involved, it's stupid now.

As Martin said in other years you'd be made to give positions back. Get clear penalties, but now no one knows. Don't go over the lines do go over them.

They seriously need to sort them out and have the same consistent stewards too.
