How about the packers - wow.

So who do you think is on the hot seat at this early juncture?
My guesses are:
Kliff Kingsbury
Josh McDaniels
Frank Reich
Nathaniel Hackett

One of them won't last the season imo. I'm sure there's others but these are the folks that its getting mighty uncomfortable, especially if they see a meeting invite from their boss
I'd guess that McDaniels is ok for one or two more seasons.

Looks like Thursday night football on Amazon is off to a rocky start.
From googling it appears that some of the weeks in October, hit only about 7 million people
Amazon’s TNF hits third-straight low opposite ALCS, NBA
NFL game viewership lower with Thursday night shuffle

I was prepared to say that this isn't an Amazon thing but a weak schedule, but I think there may be something regarding having games behind a paywall. I was wrong about the weak schedule, yes there's been some, but there's also been some really good matchups - at least on paper. I'm a bit surprised at how many good matchups there are

Please note that week 12 is Thanksgiving and no game is being shown on Amazon and there doesn't seem to be an Amazon game on week 18 Source

The fact you have to pay for Prime has something to do with it. I imagine Amazon gave the NFL a buttload of money. Plus, they want to suck up to Bezos so he buys the Washington Commanders.

No question and they promised advertisers that the ratings would be a minimum of 12 million, and regardless of what positive spin they try to put on this, the numbers tell a different story.

In other news - I'm so rooting for Indy. I want to see what happens in LV if the Raiders lose to them :D

I just saw Tom Brady said he has zero regrets about coming back.

Yeah, sure. Lost your marriage, a bad team and you look mortal. Everything's peachy.

In all honesty, I cannot believe how bad the raiders are this year.
The raiders were 10-7 last year, second place in the division, the qualified for the wild card
2022 record? 2 - 5 so far. They upgraded their receiving corps with Devante Adams, who I think REALLY regrets leaving GB.

Some people are great coordinators and some are great head coaches. McDaniels has proven to be the former and not the latter. Twice.

Not even sure it is the paywall, but what you need to do to get into the paywall. Normally when a game is on a night, I put it on as Live TV and the wife and I will watch something recorded. And then when FF though commercials, I will flip over and catch the score. Then I am invested.

Too hard to do now because my ATV senses it is not the main feed to the projector and hops out of the game and powers off. Then I have to go back in and do it all over again (which I rarely do because it is a PITA) and I never really get invested in the game. Hence watch a college game instead.

If the Raiders lose Sunday (and no one expects them too) I think He'll be fired.

They certainly shouldn't lose. But it is hard to find anyone that doesn't like Jeff Saturday. They may not like that he is head coach, but they like him as a person. He may get the Colts fired up and quite frankly (NPI), he can't do much worse.

He's never been a coach at the NFL or college level. I thino he coached some high school. He got the job for his legacy and he's a drinking buddy. Lots of guys who paid their dues who didn't get a shot. What does the Colts' O and D coordinators think?

Both have been HC's and are back to being coordinators. Probably for a reason.

No he never coached, but he was the center for probably the best "coach" on the field. He was bound to have picked up a few things.

Will be interesting for sure.

I think this is the only reason.

No question, but John Fox is on the staff and he went to the super bowl 2x for two different teams. I'd say he's infinitely more capable then Jeff Saturday. I also can't help but think the move and what Isay said about coaches in general is so insulting that I wouldn't be surprised if most of them just mail it in for the rest of the season. I mean they all know they'll be gone by January.

Here's one of Satuday's first moves - picking Parks Frazier to be the play caller for the offense. In 2018 Frazier joined the Colts franchise as the Assistant to the head coach - basically the person who gets the coach's laundry, his coffee ets. Nothing really to do with football specifically.

So a person who's so wet behind the ears is now calling the plays. I'm not saying he'll do a bad job, but I'm pretty sure there's other coaches on the payroll that have more experience to call plays then someone who is just starting out with their nfl coaching career.

Of course, the owner deciding to tank is not out of the question.

Vikings... wow. Didn't expect that. But... the refs again. Last drive in 4th quarter, Bills received a 20 yards gift which allowed them to score 3 points with a FG. That wasn't a catch, the ball hit the ground. Game should have been over then. The Vikings were lucky with the last interception.

Jerry Jones on Halloween... anyone?

Cowboys vs Packers now. Let's see if Rodgers gets his rear end kicked again.

That game was amazing and agree 100%... no catch. But it did make for some interesting football.

Come on Cowboys!

Sadly, Josh Allen has returned to hero ball - forcing plays and turnovers, like he did his first two seasons. The game was literally over after that 4th down stop and Josh managed to mess up the most common play in football - the center to QB exchange.

The Bills were Super Bowl favorites for a long time, but I think they've have been found out.

I will say that the Vikings/Bills game was a really good game. Some of those catches were crazy, and to be honest the Vikings really didn't deserve to win at least in some circumstances. The Bills stopping them on the 1/2 yard line only to fumble it in the endzone was unbelievable.

They should have snapped that ball straight out the back of the end zone, taken the free kick and tried to play some defense.

I hate the prevent defense, the Vikings let the Bills back into the game because they let them have those 8+ yds plays. The Bills just kept passing it and got into field goal range. My point is that, had they Bills done that very thing, the results may have been the same.

Like the old saying goes, the "prevent" defense prevents you from winning.

The Bills has first and ten at the 20 and were eating up ten yard chunks. Instead of going for ten and getting another first down (and taking their shots from the 10), they kept trying 20 yards for the endzone till Josh got picked.

I hate when teams do that - they need 1 or 2 yards for a first down and they go deep. Get the damn 2 yards.

The Vikings played brilliantly and just wanted it more.
