So it seems Jimmy G had yet another surgical procedure. He continues to reinforce the ideal that he's injury prone/made of paper mache
Report: Jimmy G had foot surgery after signing with Raiders

I don't see his stint in LV to be any different then in SF, i.e., he'll be injured before the end of 2023

And nobody will be surprised when he's injured.....no doubt the Raiders will have a backup or two ready and waiting (maybe even Tom Brady lol)

Maybe the Raiders strategy will provide Garoppolo with more protection than he got at SF

He is made of glass. Last time he played a complete season was in 2019.

2019 - 16 games
2020 - 6 games
2021 - 15 games
2022 - 11 games

I wouldn’t put money on him to play a complete season this year.

The RAIDERS drafted QB Aiden O'Connell from Purdue so here's to hoping he's a fast learner... of our stupid and unpredictable offense.

I am going to say that I'm tired of constant drum of whether Brady is unretiring, even with news of him purchasing a stake in the raiders, there's Mike Florio doing his conspiracy theories to spinning webs that brady is going to be unretired.

To my knowledge (which is lacking), It appears that if you become an owner (even a minority stake) you can't play. I do think he does understand his playing days are behind him, I just wish Mike Florio thought the same thing

I agree, can we stop already. Let's hope he gets a sliver of the ownership so we can put this one to bed already.

While we wait for something interesting to happen in the NFL...

I've been so bored with the NBA in recent years. It's devolved into nothing more than a 3 point shooting contest. The NHL, however, is tearing it up. Loving the NHL playoffs. I also love MLB's pitch clock. The pace of the games has definitely picked up, 20 minutes shorter on average now.

I didn't see a dedicated NHL thread... but man, what a series and I am glad The Knights won and did so in a rather dominating fashion!

What I couldn't believe is how fast the Bruins exited the playoffs!

The Heat, then the Panthers. Not a good week for Miami sports.

The running back market seems ice cold, and its a bit of a rude awakening for those free agents. Little to no interest for Zeke, Dalvin cook's self worth seems to be out of scope with what other teams want to pay him
Najee Harris: “Eye-opening” to see how NFL values running backs

No one would blame him if he despaired about his chances of landing one either. This offseason has seen the releases of Dalvin Cook and Ezekiel Elliott while Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, and Tony Pollard were each franchise-tagged by their teams. None of those three players has signed an extension

Here's my two cents, since there doesn't seem to be a market for Rbs, those players who have been tagged should very well consider signing that tender. That is, its quite evident, that they're going to lose money if they try to buck the trend.

Agreed. The market for RBs seems to have tanked.

How in the world would the Arena league allow a loose cannon like Antonio Brown to become an owner?
Money, pure and simple, they probably thought he'd be providing free advertisement with his involvement and in many respsects they were not wrong.

From what I know he bought a non-controlling interest and I think that was enough to get his foot in the door, then he bullied and offered so much money over market value to buy out the other parties in the owners group to be the sole owner. From there, it went down hill, not paying the players, firing the coaching staff that brought them into the playoffs (or championship, I'm not sure). Chaos reigned, I'm not even sure its over. I'm sure AB's lawyers will be drawing up a lawsuit

Oooh I missed this
It’s been great ride hopefully can post about this when we get to 20,000 days
:p

Wow, just wow
Patriots cornerback Jack Jones is arrested for attempting to bring firearms onto a plane

I need to be careful with how this topic is going to go, as it could easily devolve into PRSI and our moderator overlords would be displeased ;)

With that said, I just don't understand how someone could do something like that. I mean generally speaking you shouldn't be packing heat when going to the airport and I don't think putting those firearms into a suitcase seems like a bright idea.

The patriots don't really need this sort of distraction.

Unless you are a physical freak, like Derrick Henry, a team that is dedicated to the run can plug in almost anybody.

Now that player gambling has infected the NFL, how do you trust that no games will be fixed or otherwise corrupted?
Player suspension is an insult to the fans, the only way to keep the game clean is a lifetime ban.

How do we know they haven't been already?

I've seen a few games slip away that made me wonder...

And putting a team in Vegas was just asking for trouble...
