Didn't BAL just kick the sh*t out of them?
I don't think they did. That's all on the four interceptions from Purdy. A lesson needs to be learned from it. You can be sure the analysts did their best job to analyse what went wrong and do their best not to repeat it. The advantage is actually with the 49ers here, as there isn't much to analyse on the Ravens side.

Remember all those times NE got their butt kicked in games and in the first half of the game, then coming back with a changed game plan to win. Remember the 28-3, to end with 28-34 after another half.

Never show them all your weapons in the regular season or first half of a game. Do it when they can't make big changes anymore.

Not just win the divison, but the second seed. Second seed or miss the playoffs. Quite a swing.

The Bills also make it if Jacksonville loses.
I don't see the Jags losing at all. If I were Indy or Houston, I'd prefer being 7th seed (play either the Bills or Fins) rather than face the Browns. Facing the Browns now is a guaranteed loss. Against the Bills or Fins, you've got a shot depending upon which version of the team shows up.

I think if the Bills were to back into the playoffs, its more likely that Jacksonville loses. Pit is playing Balt, but Balt clinched, so they may rest everybody.

They, the Jags, have also been up and down.

I see them losing pretty easily.

And I don't see Indy getting by the Bills or the Fins. Houston, I could see them winning.

Bills have gotten hot at the right time. While the Fins have cooled down and been hit the by the injury bug at the worst possible time. I wouldn't count them out though, they still have all that speed on the Offensive side and even though their defense has taken a hit, they can still hang in a high scoring shootout type game.

Hmmm. I see Josh got snubbed for the Pro Bowl.

Lamar (obviously), but Mahomes and Tua?

Josh led the lead in TDs, and had 19 turnovers. But both Mahomes and Tua had 17, just 2 behind. Josh also had the second best QBR in the AFC, behind Lamar.

Pat McAfee was talking about this today.

They think it is possible that he gets MVP votes, yet doesn't make the Pro-Bowl.

St. Brown was the one I can't believe got snubbed.

St. Brown is surprising too. But the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest (as oppose to NFL awards), so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Who decides who goes?

Players or fans?

Fans are always wrong.

I assume you mean Amon-Ra Julian Heru J. St. Brown of the Lions (via USC), not his brother, Equanimeous Tristan Imhotep J. St. Brown, who plays in the same division, now for the Bears, and formerly for the Packers (via Notre Dame). I guess the NFC Central likes that family! While they never had the opportunity to play against each other in college (big brother left for the draft prior to baby brother's freshman year) they are certainly making up for that in the pros.

Oh yeah... that famous play that even has a name... "The Catch"... not bitter at all... screw you 49ers and your Superbowl run in the 80's...
I feel the same about the Cowboys.... The 90's are also the beginning of the end for the RAIDERS.

Opinion piece:

Al Davis was already losing it as an owner in the late '80s as evidenced by hiring Art Shell as head coach and Jay Schroeder as his starting QB. The slide got worse and worse. They ticked up when they hired Gruden, Shannan, and Gannon but quickly went to hell after the loss to the Bucs SB XXXVII ...

as a raiders fan since the 87 one day we wont suck haha, i remember being in New England for the Raiders Vs Pats game in the "tuck" rule i had amazing tickets and still believe we would have won the super bowl that year, and then 2002 Vs Tampa John new every damn play that was coming couldn't believe it! Oh and Derek Carr wasn't the problem with the Raiders it was coaching the last 2 years we were finally getting over the hill and Mark decided he doesn't care about winning... he wants a big name coach just like he'll do this year instead of keeping AP my rant is over haha! sorry or being off topic

it's still possible for a team with a losing record to win the NFC South title

I'm hoping it won't happen

I hate teams sitting starters, like Pit-Balt. If you are going to field half a team, you should only charge half prices.

Kareem Jackson os going to get suspended for a high hit probably. Again. What is wrong with that guy?

When I saw Pittsburgh beat Baltimore, meaning the Bills will have to win to get get in (Jacksonville losing could do it too, but I don't see that happening), I thought about Cerrano from the movie Major League:

"Jobu...I go to you. I stick up for you. And you no help me now...I say bleep you Jobu. I do it myself."

I actually thought you were all for this? Weren't you and I arguing about this just a few pages back? :p

I don't like it either but I agree it makes sense. Watt got hurt, strain/light sprain of the MCL I think, So he's going to be questionable if they do actually get in the playoffs. So the proof is in the pudding for sitting key players.

If BAL #8 had gotten hurt their season would effectively be over.

I bet MIA sits #1 and the Bills win... but with the Bills this season... ya never know...

The AFC has 2 spots still being fought over and the NFC 1... So quite a few games have a lot of meaning this weekend.

Preseason and "sit" games should be cheaper for the fans. That's my main argument, as the NFL can't make teams play guys.

The Bills have to win. The Bills need the 2 seed. Even if they make the playoffs as the wildcard, if they have to go on the road, they won't go very far. But if they have home field until at least the AFC championship, then they may have a chance.
