JMU hit back a little more than I thought they would.

I was rooting for Montana and Villanova... and A&M for that matter ... lol

Tulane, and JMU got absolutely destroyed - no surprise there. I believe two of these three teams; ND, BYU, and Texas would have provided a more competitive and pair of engaging games

we, "the macrumors user college threaders" would have provided a more competitive and pair of engaging games!
LOL, indeed :p

Not for nothing, I've criticized the committee in the past about using strength of schedule, but as you can see when you remove that consideration and pick the conference champions even from the small conferences we get an uncompetitive game. I have no idea what the ratings were for the tulane and jmu game, but I have to imagine that once the game got out of hand, people tuned out

seems to me there are a handful of people who want to over-control the situation on our planet.
then see who will react, or watch these lopsided games.
that was my first impression when I saw the final bracket.

or perhaps the schools who won their conferences won't belly ache since they have a chance a the title.

in 1991 I interviewed Dick Vitale who claimed "college hoops is great because a Tulane can beat a Ohio State,
but not in football" as he was correct.

I just saw the UMiami game since I follow them and probably won't watch the others.
there was player who was on his seventh years of college football,
longer than most world wars. NFLs coaches and players.

Yeah, how and why? lol

Does it mean he won't/wouldn't/couldn't go pro? I'm sure some sort of injury held him back right?

I gave this scenario an ounce of brain cell, thought about that for a nano-second,
then watched a field goal attempt flew wide left and remembered that just now.
He probably switched majors, went through the portal to many times, failed applied math or basic art four times?

somethings we need just to say "Ohh.... how about that!"

Well, we beat JMU without much problem (although I'm not sure what happened in the second half) but things get tougher from here...Texas Tech on New Year's Day in the Orange Bowl. C'mon and GO DUCKS!

*I know he's the interim right now but surely he'll get an offer to be the fulltime HC?
I haven't heard anything, but I'm assuming the AD has probably expressed some intent in NOT keeping him around. His record as interim isn't all tha great either, just 2-9

Let us not forget that he was their HC up until that infamous motorcycle incident occurred where he and a woman not his wife got in an accident.

CFP has to throw the small conferences some bones, to at least give the pretense that's more than just a P4 club fest to dole out the dollars.

The reason why it hasn't grown bigger is that the SEC and Big Ten couldn't reconcile their differences.

Read that starting next season, ND has it written into their contract that if they're ranked #12 or higher, they get an automatic bid.

It's CFB, so some programs are more equal than others, but there is one that's most equal!
