One of the biggest issues I see with the steelers is that
They don't have a franchise QB, and haven't had one since Big Ben retired. They tried by drafting Kenny Pickett in 2022. Why didn't they try to find another QB when the writing was on the wall with Roethlisberger? I mean he over stayed his welcome by 2 or 3 years

They play good enough to make it into the playoffs (barely) more often then not, but bounce out fairly quickly. That kills your draft placement. They've never embraced the notion of a rebuild, they keep just trying to plug a whole, fill the gap with an ok-ish QB and they do ok during the regular season but don't have the talent or depth to bring them any further.

Having a franchise quarterback might well be all they actually need; they've been in the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years (yeah, in part because they're in a weak division)...I suspect that record makes it easy for the team management to think that they're already on the right track.

Jets vs Pats tonight... should be a blowout, right? Pats by a lot....?
This was one of those trap games that could have tripped up the patriots. Good that the Vrabel has them prepared, even though playing division rivals is usually grinding slog.

It looked like someone took their normal blues and bleached them and all of the color faded.
The blue was suppose to resemble the ocean during a Nor'easter. I would have preferred a little more red accents to be introduced (on the uniform and perhaps the helmet face guard). Those blue and white uniforms could have been worn by any number of "blue" teams in the league so, with the exception of the six stars on the collar representing the six New England states and six super bowls, the uniforms were not reflective of the Patriots colors and history enough.

As these Rivalries uniforms go, this uniform was one of the best -- kind of like how they are playing. IMHO

Calm down...

Indeed. I always thought it was a bonehead move by the Titans to fire him. He is a good coach, a good communicator, even back when he was the Texans' DC. Not gonna lie, I was happy the Titans fired him, because now a division rival sucks.😄

It was the same when the Texans fired Gary Kubiak. I always thought Coach Kub was a good enough. He just didn't have a good enough roster. I blamed the GM back then and felt vindicated when Kubiak won a SB with the Broncos. Look at the Titans' roster. Other than Cam Ward and Jeffery Simmons, no one on that team is a household name.

I don't think the Patriots' roster is good enough to make the SB yet, but I think they're good enough to get to the AFC championship game under Vrabel's leadership. They'll lose to the Bills or Chiefs.

On a side note, I don't think the Colts make it past the divisional round. Their retread QB runs out of magic at the end of the season, like the Vikings' retread did last year.

Cam Ward is nothing to write home about...

I disagree. Kubiak was way too complacent. He would watch the same train wreck happen time after time with Schaub and not make changes. He wasn't going to take the Texans any further without multiple Acts of God. Kubiak won in Denver because he had Payton and after getting violated by the Seahawks previously, the Donkeys spent 2 years making necessary upgrades, didn't act entitled when they made it back and I think Manning woke up also. If they hadn't replaced Fox with Kubiak, I think Fox would have gotten them the Lombardi.
