What’s the “general demographic” of foootball fans?

What artists would generally align with it?

The NFL is trying to make American football main stream around the world. The half time act was not primarily for the viewers in the United States but was to attract interest from people outside the United States.

In any case, I think that a large percentage of Super Bowl viewers don't bother watching the halftime shows.

I am not a football fan though I respect we all like different things. (Figure skating, hockey and tennis for me and I realise only the second would be considered "exciting"). I really liked the Green Day part, and enjoyed the half time show, and am not offended that Bad Bunny called us Canadians - Americans. (ie: all of the Americas). 🙂

P.S. As I was raised in Vancouver glad that our neighbours team the Seahawks won.

Glad to see the Seahawks win, as I am not, nor have I ever been a NE fan, and this is coming from someone who loves Michigan... first love is Bama... don't get me wrong... But I also really like Michigan. And my strong dislike for them has nothing to do with Tom. I just have never liked them.

So I was happy on the front. 🙂

The half time show... Seeing him perform. Not a fan. Not my style of music. Nothing against, him, heck I had no idea who he was prior to this. Would I have rather seen someone like Metallica, of course. Home grown from the area... not to mention hard rock. Oh yeah. But, I did turn the channel about five minutes in as it is not my cup of tea music wise.

Just like I didn't watch the Justin and Janet halftime show either, and I know who both of them are, and sadly I didn't get to see them do the whole malfunction live thing... That I am bummed about, but I have seen it since. 🙂

As for the game... It was ok, nothing special, it wasn't a nail biter, which I would have liked to have seen. But I did like the outcome. If the Seahawks keep that defense in tact, they are going to be very tough to beat. Wowzers.

The only highlight I saw from the NE side, was the cornerback, Gonzalez! Man, he kept the Pat's in the game..!

What were people's thoughts on the half-time show? Better then what they were expecting, worse, didn't watch it?

There was a genuine wedding embedded in the show, which is nice for the couple. Their marriage certificate has a famous signatory. Otherwise, hard to get worked up about it, in whatever fashion, any more than the Taylor Swift stuff from past seasons.

I can appreciate a talented performer even if I don't 'get' the music. It's a shame so many people these days see everything through a political lens. Sounds like a miserable way to live.

Shephards…shephard. And some live that way, which makes the job even easier.

Fun fact -- of the 2018 QB draft class, Sam Darnold (#3) now has a SB ring.

Baker Mayfield (#1), Josh Allen (#7), and Lamar Jackson (#32) do not.

Josh Rosen (#10) had a short four-season hopscotch NFL career and is out of football. Mason Rudolph (#76) is still with the Steelers.

Notably, RB Saquon Barkley (#2) got his last year.

The NFC West had the best chance of taking the crown this season, and that looks set to continue.

If Maxx Crosby has his way, Klint Kubiak will need to find another edge rusher.

I was really disappointed in the commercials. I get up early and watch a lot of news and they were really hyping up the commercials this year. I DID miss the Coke commercial with the polar bear, but as for all the others I DID see, with the exception of the Lays Potato Chip commercial, I thought they were incredibly STUPID. Maybe I'm just getting too old to "get it?"

I actually liked the one with all the piles of hair. lol

Apparently Ray Handley died last week.

He was the Giants head coach in 90/91 after Parcells left.

He inherited a 13-3 SB winning team, made a bunch of changes that noone liked and succeeded in turning them into an 8-8 team, then a 6-10 team.

Winner winner, chicken dinner.

Actually, the polar bears appeared in a PEPSI commercial which is why we thought it was clever.
