Things are getting a little anxious and concerning in Buffalo. They were supposed to be super bowl contenders, and things are not looking great for the bills.

Its still possible for them to take the division, I do think they patriots are playing above their talent level and will come back down to earth

I also don't think there's one overall dominating AFC team, so if the Bills can get their act together they may be that team but they've not shown it this past month

even if the Bills don't win their division, they have an excellent chance to make the playoffs. A late season surge could easily take them to the SB

Actually they're on the bubble right now. With 7 playoff slots (4 division winners and 3 wild card slots), they have the 2nd to last playoff stop. If they're not careful, another team could sneak past them.

For instance the chiefs are in 9th, and with their schedule they should be able to run the table from here on out. This week's game against the colts and the chargers in december are probably their biggest challenges. We also cannot ignore the fact that the refs will help them along as they frequently do.

Yes, it's certainly possible they won't make the playoffs, but they've been in 7 of the last 8. And last year they made it to the AFC final. Odds still in their favor of at least a wild card slot.

I'd guess that there's a greater chance that a turn-around team like NE won't be able to sustain their success. If NE doesn't fade, I suspect that there's a greater chance that either the Chargers or Jauars will fade further than the Bills

With their porous defense? They'll be lucky to make it past the divisional round. Josh Allen can't be Mr. 6-TD in one game every week. Bills win because the offense can pour 30-40 points a game easily. But it's risky trusting in a shoot out every time. All their losses came when they scored 20 points or less. 20 points is enough for most teams to win.

Broncos is my pick for the AFC SB contender. They have an elite defense and an above average offense. Patriots are punching above their weight level, but they will face some real competition in the playoffs. Colts are dominating right now, but I think Indiana Jones runs out of magic and they're one and done. Chiefs might not make the playoffs, but if they do, they will contend. The Ravens...well playoff Lamar shows up again. Texans is a wildcard. Jags is the other wildcard. When will T-Law live up the generational talent billing?

If NE doesn't fade
I won't be surprised if the patriots do fade, and if that does happen the the division is the Bills to lose.

I still think the chiefs are the dark horse at this point. While I think the patriots are playing above their ability, I also think KC is playing below their ability. I expect them to go on a tear. I'm not a fan of KC by the way, and I really hope we don't see them in the playoffs :)

The Bills receivers can't get open, that's either a failure of the OC (they should have brought Daboll back) or the talent. The head coach is not capable of steering the ship apparently either, a genius last year is this year's stiff. That's what they say in the NFL (Not For Long). Adapt and change or get left behind.

Definitely the talent. The Bills WR would be special teams or practice squad guys on most other teams. The OC does what he can with what he has. Fourth quarter, under a minute left, 4th and 26 yards to go, the Bills pull of an eye popping play that brought Texans fans celebration to a screeching halt. Allen passes to a wide open receiver who laterals to a teammate running the opposite direction. They got 44 yards out of that.

If it not for the botch point after attempt in the first quarter, they could have tied the game with a field goal and forced OT.

That would be very nice...

Haters going to hate. Lot's of Patriots skeptics in these parts. But, at this point in the season, there is little reason for the skepticism as we have all witnessed what is being served up this season as competition. And it's generally mediocre across the board. In fact, I believe that the Patriots have beaten more teams with a winning record than most of teams with a leg up for the playoffs. So, this is what NFL parity looks like and the Patriots have a leg-up for a variety of reasons but a good place start is in the performance and leadership of Drake Maye.

Not a Pats fan by any stretch but I'm happy for the Drake. It's been fun to watch them surprise everyone.
