I lean toward the Seahawks because I worked on hospital in Tacoma for a couple of years. I'm a Bill's fan, but they didn't make it this year.

Sam Darnold has had to eat a ration of nasty abuse and insults for his entire NFL career, and most of it undeserved, but winning here would be a great American success story, whereas the Patriots have been peacocking along with their obnoxious fans with this Warriorrrsss taunting … well be careful what you wish for. The Warriors do in fact play here, albeit in a different sport. But, you’ve stirred up a spirit out here in the Pacific Coast, and you’d better have the chops to win the kind of street fight you promised to bring.

WHo won the comeback award?

Joe Flacco won it the year Hamlin returned after his heart attack on the field. It's rather loosely defined, but I'd vote for the guy who had a heart attack and died, over the old guy, and I think most thought that was going to be the expected outcome.

I was never a fan of how he carried himself. When he was the HC of the lions he was largely caustic to the media and many other folks

He has the backing of Myles Garrett, for what that's worth.

This will probably come down to which still unproven quarterback can keep it together and not collapse under the pressure. They both can be turnover machines so hard to say who to put money on.

The team that makes the fewest mistakes usually wins. I think the prevailing though is that neither QB has to win the game for their team, but conversely, not lose the game for their team.

There have been a few SBs with less than stellar QBs who ended up with rings. My fuzzy recollection -- Dilfer, Hostetler, Foles; Hurts even.

But if Darnold has a good game, Seahawks. He'll have a ring, and can rightfully don a "I survived being drafted by the Jets" t-shirt.

First half was ok, fantastic defense on both sides. Second half… meh, pure domination by the Seahawks. If they can keep up their defense next season, they might be able to win another one.

Was about time they win another one. 🙂

Super Bowl "III…and out."

Against two good D's, pretty much as expected. Darnold played just like Darnold, but didn't suffer a brain fart, and though NE beat three top-5 defenses in postseason to get to the game, that didn't count for anything in this game.

And hey, there was a halftime show and the world didn't implode.

The Darnold redemption arc has completed - good for him.

Congrats to the Seahawks, and given that Jody Allen has stated that the seahawks will be put up for sale in 2026, their worth has increased given the super bowl win

I remember an old coworker saying this, and it has stuck with me, for nearly 40 years.

Whether your team wins or losses, you still have to wake up Monday and go to work. Additionally, the folks on the losing team get to go play golf and have an extended vacation.

I don't let this define, impact or effect me, not when those football players make significantly more money then I do and are now on vacation for the next 3 or 4 months.

Who won the MVP last night? Walker.

One of the major criticisms that faced the patriots was their strength of schedule, it was the easiest in the NFL. This put unrealistic expectations on the team's capabilities and that silly talk of the dynasty returning (which I never bought into).

2026, is the year to see if the team can beat quality opponents, as their schedule will be significantly more difficult.

What were people's thoughts on the half-time show? Better than what they were expecting, worse, didn't watch it?
From a purely artistic perspective, I thought the people/life oriented POV aspect was fantastic - most creative I’ve seen in years. It really felt like you were in Puerto Rico. I’ve never heard of bad bunny before but liked the music just fine. My wife who loves to dance speaks fluent Spanish so she understood everything that BB sang. Comparatively, my Espanol is pretty bad and Puerto Ricans speak/sing faaaaast, so some sort of translated subtitle would be awesome if/when a foreign artist speaking a foreign language sings in said language. For example my folks who are 74 & 82 had no clue lol. They liked it though.

My son who is 8 commented on all the ladies shaking their posterior. He asked me, “Dad why are all the girls shaking their butts?” I paused, and the best thing I could come up with on the fly was “it’s a celebration of the feminine form” . 😀 Lol

He replied. I dunno but I really liked it! 😂

This is the way.

I did get a few glimpses and I am not sure I understand the controversy. But I didn't understand a word of it any way. I definitely did NOT appreciate Blind Melon at pregame given the needless rhetoric.

I understand the controversy.
Tbh, I think it was a silly controversy. For me, its more along the lines, do I like the music? Yes, I'll watch it, no, then I won't. My daughters heard of him, and so this half time show appealed to them. My only complaint is that they're choosing artists that generally don't align with the general demographic of football fans. At the end of the day, its not something I get worked up over.
