The max crash in pitlane, the light in his box, came on red, about 2 seconds after he started, it was red.
The red bull pit has 2 lights, one above the driver and a man holding a light box, as max started, the man holding the light box, he moved left, it was dark, then 2 seconds later, RED, you can see it from Kimi's car camera..red, off, red..Sky showed the same incident a number of times, they all missed the red light.

Looks like Oscar is mastering his first corner move, funny how everyone praises him for it ;)

I'm loving Antonelli, but he learned some valuable lessons today that there is more to it than racing. I have a feeling he will be a super quick learner.

The Red Bull team is just dropping the ball, what on earth was that. Max reacted better than his team, but it was too late, unfortunately. Unfortunately for Max, and for Antonelli.

Hope the fake mermaids and fake yachts didn't drown in the rain ;) I really dislike that circuit personally.

Feel for Antonelli. First he gets mugged at the start of the sprint, then has to do a drive through because the RBR lollipop man missed his one task.
Obviously Max was innocent in the incident as he is relying on someone else to tell him it’s clear.

Shame the SC robbed us of those last 4 laps. It would have been fun seeing Lewis challenge those McLaren’s.

He really won’t get the chance in the main race unless their is some very peculiar set of circumstances.

Norris ahead of Piastri should help his confidence if he can keep it there. Not sure he will though.

Some rain due for the race, so hoping that spices it up. Repeated highlights on Monday morning here in the UK (which is a bank holiday), so at least I don’t have to stay up to stupid O’clock

Agree with everything up to the SC. I just don’t see Lewis challenging the McLarens in any situation…..

Max is not even top 200 of all time drivers, Lewis maybe 201st, Max well south if 220.. I rate Martin Brundle a better driver.. Max/Lewis all drive server racks on Pirelli rubber caster wheels..

If or when F175 decides to actually race race cars and not servers, then that maybe would a GOAT, Max has a boat, that is all he is a boat owner..

Under normal circumstances no, but yesterday it was Lewis “weatherwhisper” Hamilton. He called it first and called it right. He was on the right tyres and had the temperature in them with the right amount of laps. If it wasn’t for the safety car the McLarens could have been in significant trouble.

It has stopped raining.. F1 Academy cars being wheeled away... Waiting for SkyF1 to start the pre-race... Looks likely a wet race to start..

Well wow, that was quite a race. Loved it, actually. Some fantastic racing going on, sensible decisions by race control and the stewards. Really enjoyable. Lando and Albon an amazing race. Superb defending by Max, a real masterclass. But that McLaren dominance is beyond what even Red Bull had.

And George, yet again just picking up the points, the one to watch.

After today’s Miami GP the United States has now hosted more Formula 1 Races than Great Britain or Germany. ;)

Well done McLaren for leading by a boring race for them in the end, I hate it when someone wins by 30 seconds, pointless.
But brilliant racing and overtaking through the field, glad Max made the McLaren’s work for it. And what about Williams!!! Go Team W Go!!

I think though McLaren have it in the bag, Newey leaving has certainly hurt Red Bull.

Driver of the race has to be Antonelli! He is driving amazing for a first ever F1 season.

Ferrari: "We'll get back to you.." is code for we are busy faxing Toto our resumes as we cannot work with driver of car 44.. That explains why car 44's man friday stayed with Daddy Toto, and did not want to move to the donkey racing outfit...

The Alonso crash kind of proves the uselessness of the Sprints, the gains are so low compared to the risk of the main.. Now we may or may not have 20 cars on Sunday.. So I just wonder the wisdom of Sprints, if it means 18 cars, Le Clerc and Alsono..
My F1 social group, have been thrashing the idea of a double race weekend, whereby the distance is half the usual length, but that they race on Saturday, and Sunday. Pole would be on Friday, and penalties that invoke fines or time, should be amended into places, and carried over from the first race, to the 2nd. Normal points for both races, and between each race, after the regularity checks are made, the car's can leave 'Parc Ferme', for a period of 4 hours.

Sprints are useless, they are functionally useless, they serve not a single viable reason to exist.. And thing that affects car or driver for the main course Sunday should be rejected.. The only way a "2nd" race per weekend would be viable, is a 4rd car, or only for 20 rookies not racing on Sunday.

Whilst I understand your passion, could you have decency to extrapolate your opinion, so that the reasons could be understood. Simply saying useless, or not viable, are not answers, or reasons, merely statements.
Motor racing itself, should be full of variety, as that challenges the driver, not the car. Changing the distance to half, would eliminate the need to change tires (although the ability to do so, and the strategic use of, is still there). Car's would have a lighter fuel load, the desire to overtake, will be hastened by less time to do so. Teams would have the chance to tweak their cars, and learn from the 1st race, and penalties imposed, would have an immediate effect. There would also be increased viewership, in person and through TV and media coverage.

Yes, I understand the reasons for having 2 races, and on paper, in the sim it works, but in the cold light of day, it simply robs the Sunday to pay the Saturday, I have explained this before, it is like cricket, we had unlimited days, then 5 days, then 60 overs, then 50 overs, then 20 overs, 10 overs, 100 balls, it all destroy's what that sport is...

When you have a system like Sprints and Full Race in 2 days, the same cars and drivers, you risk reducing the event on Sunday, with a crash or worse on Saturday.. As explained, you need 3 cars per team, a sprint car, and 20 non competing drivers, each team has at least 1 driver not competing, but is at the track, Bottas for example, 3 teams he sits waiting for nothing..

The Sunday event is like set in stone, you don't mess with this...

As much as I hate sprints, I agree there needs something, just not using the same cars, same drivers, as shown in the Sprint Saturday, we could have had a Sunday with 18 cars on the grid, and for what?? Pointless.. Drivers pick up penalties for events not in the scope of the Sunday race, it affects the Sunday race.. I just find that illogical..
