The fact that he only lost 3 points to his rival probably helped the mood. Most likely would have felt different if Lando had won and he picked up a flat from the incident.
Mind you that would have made the next 5 races a lot more fun!
There are 6 races remaining in the season which would surely be fun in terms of the fight for the drivers' championship between the two McLaren drivers and don't forget that there are 3 sprint races left in the season as well.

That was for the most part, about the worst race in a decade, only the 2 or 3 lap farce in Spa beats it as a farce of a race, maybe 1 over take the whole race.. I kept hoping for a failed satellite connection.. Color bars and 2kHZ test tone would have been better.. At least we learned 1 thing, Oscar is hated by Zak, that cannot be more obvious.. Zak has his favorite, and Oscar is not it.. To be honest I hope Oscar is fired, for his future it would be best, Zak is toxic, worse than Toto... Much worse, Zak has issues.. deep..

Before the next race as well so he cannot have any chance of winning the championship?

Or should they just sabotage his pit stops or make his car slower?

Or am I being too cynical…

The McLaren rules are ridiculous - I certainly wouldn’t buy one of their road cars. If that’s how they treat people who drive for them, then what hope do paying customers have.

What is the financial health of the whole business I wonder?

Piastri has to start being mean spirited and focus on his goals now. That means stopping Norris at all costs.

nope, Zak and Stella want their man to win.. Lando is going to get all the love he can tolerate, Paistry will get the duff beer pit crew, the lame, the infirm, the catering staff to change tyres.. Paistry will hate life now for the rest of the season

Solid weekend by George and still no contract for 2026 it seems and convincingly outperforming his teammate consistently. Good drive by Lando and I can understand why Oscar was miffed at the start, but it did indeed look like a simple racing incident. I am sure he realises himself now he's seen the replays etc. Lando seems to be upping his game to close that gap and we have a proper fight in the closing rounds! Red Bull seem to have sorted their issues out too and Max is doing what he does best and has the most experience of the three when it comes to pressure. I still think a McLaren driver will win but Max is definitely going to cause them some issues. Lets hope Mercedes are in the mix for wins too, I think George deserves a new contract, he's really stepped up!

McLaren World Champions again and back-to-back winners for the first time since 1991. Anybody else noticing Stella's accent is starting to show a bit of a British twang after many years here? Just an amusing observation lol.

People that live outside the US have no idea just how toxic ZB actually is. I’m concerned for Oscar as well. Let’s see what toxic guests ZB brings to COTA.

The race was boring as heck, but that has been the case since they got rid of the "Singapore Sling" section that at least one car always crashed in to bring out a Safety Car. Four DRS sections will not help you when each is only a few hundred meters long and ends with a 90-degree turn that requires early and heavy braking. Still, the race looks great under the lights so if we have to have one guaranteed procession a season, better Singapore than Monaco.

Would McLaren prefer Norris as WDC? I expect so as he is said to bring in a fair bit more merch money than Oscar and I expect his personal sponsorship deals are more lucrative for the team. He's also been with the team longer and likely has formed deeper relationships with team personnel. He also smiles. :p

The above is probably why they have come up with these annoying "Papaya Rules" to at least put forward a semblance of impartiality should Lando win the WDC and "British Bias" be thrown about.

If George doesn’t have a new contract before COTA after this win one really needs to question Toto’s motivation. If only we had a recording of the conversations on V in Sardinia.

I did see an article that suggested George had turned down a couple of offers from Mercedes. Perhaps they are doing what they tried with Lewis a couple of times and trying to save a bit of cash? Lol. Pay the man!

Japanese site Autosport Web has reported that George wanted a three year contract at GBP20 million a year. Toto countered with a single year at GBP10 million. George is said to be willing to accept a one year extension, but he wants a performance clause that means if Max comes a calling in 2027, Kimi gets kicked to Williams or Alpine if George has the better record. However, Toto believes Kimi is the future, not George, so he is refusing.

Looked to me he then over corrected into Oscar.
Yeah sure, you try and love tap the car in front, at 80 mph and see how much control you have.

Speaking on Sky Sports F1, Jenson Button believes that it was ‘unusual’ for the Briton to have to catch a slide at that stage in the corner. Going over the kerb aggressively did him few favours, considering rain had not long cleared.

“It’s racing,” he said. “He’s side by side. He had the little tap into the back of the Red Bull of Max. And he’s got a bit of oversteer, which is quite unusual. I think it just shows how low the grip was. He didn’t purposefully try to push him in the wall.

“It’s not like he drove him into the wall. It’s not like he drove all the way to the wall hoping that Oscar would hit the wall or disappear. It was halfway through the corner, he had a snap of oversteer. If I was Oscar, I would be like, ‘Ah, my teammate got the better of me there!’ And that’s it.”
