Not sure why anyone would want 2z Number 1 drivers in the same team.. You need a 1 and a spare...
I see why we have sprints, who in any mind is going to think there will be a race.. Max is going to win, Paistry will have a mysterious issue.. Lando does not have the male equipment to fight Max.. Piastry does, but PawPaw rules dictate that Lando has to be WDC..

The big advantage Max has at turn 1 is he knows he can’t win the WDC. Where as the other two (especially Lando) know a coming together could be the end.

Anyway not a big fan of sprints. I think they need to go. I suspect a bit of getting your elbows out on lap 1, then pretty much every one else following Max around not wanting to damage their car.

Exactly "a procession" it is, a sprint it may/may not be* [subject to change..Depends on what the Oracles/Jay Leno decides at the Stewards Inquiry that may/may not occur..

I am old, watched way too many motorsport events, and yet to grasp the concept of Sprints.. The only way it makes sense is that we have 1 on Friday, 1 on Saturday, and 1 on Sunday Morning called: "F1 Breakfast Sprints" 9am...

A couple hours before the farce starts.. sorry race starts, or farce.. both?

Well that is F1. Hilarious Oscar and Lando out 😬 I wish Landon would still be in it.

But Max is making it more interesting. And torpedo George does it again 🤣 Fun race.

Just 55 points between Oscar and Max. I wasn’t expecting that.

Max WDC incoming...

Yup. 😉

Race begins and ends with a wreck causing an SC. 8 more points for Max on both Lando and Oscar.

Max is going to ace GP qualifying since Red Bull can setup for current track conditions based on the race while McLaren will have to use yesterday's Sprint qualifying setup.

Even I wasn’t prepared for that start. Just an incredible meltdown at McLaren.

Max is living Full Time in every one’s head at McLaren now. Incredible.

Disappointing for both. Sure looked to me like Alonso squeezed Hulk into Oscar.
I’ve watched it a few times and I feel Oscar tried the switch to tuck down the inside of Lando and Hulk was already committed to be there. Lando was a passenger anyway and it’s a shame it took him out. Max is now in the shadows and McLaren need to be aware he’s not the type of driver you can keep making mistakes in front of, he’s used to the pressure and could end up nicking it off them.

Ok, I am going to say it, we are all thinking it.. Did a certain Mr "X" sabotage a certain driver of a car with a very low number?? Since this certain Mr "X" left a certain team, a driver of a low car number, who has a WDC or 2.. Has been doing so much better.. Seems sus that this Mr "X" that is now looking for a new team.. He left and this WDC driver is able to turn up, poles and wins without even trying.. Sus!!!

Well it would be a nice points offset if it finishes as they qualified for Lando. But there is bound to be a SC or two.

The sprint was just a racing incident. I don’t think there was any blame for either McLaren. With such a short race you have to make the start count.

I do wonder if there is a bit of damage to Oscar’s floor from that crash though.

As for Max he will no doubt get the win. I don’t think he’ll get the WDC though. If it looks like it might get close I suspect McLaren will need to back a driver.

Probably watch the highlights tomorrow night as the race highlights don’t start until 12:30

Many thanks to The Race website for a normal grid posting.

Struggling to see the logic of the sprint, when most of it was a procession, and for what exactly? Mostly for nothing really? It has been decades since I was in boarding school, but come 5pm I start thinking about showering and not wanting a cold shower.. The sprint is competitve, "lights out and away we go" and 20 drivers turn into lunatics.. They cannot help it.. But that does not make it right..What if it was a fatal corner 1? Or Piastry is unable to race Sunday? The value of the event is tarnished because someone is wearing underwear 3 sizes too small, this causes the brain to fade.. Sprints were a result of a bad idea by a lunatic..It makes no sense.. but anyway, they are here.. Like T20 cricket, stupid..but popular..

Lance with a 5 grid, and 2 points on his licence, a joke, he should have had a year ban, if not a life ban, he is going to kill someone.. He is about the worst driver in the last 75 yrs.. We have seen bad, terrible blind drivers, but he is just beyond redemption... He should not have a driving licence, let alone a super-licence.. He is just too unsafe..

Bring back traditional qualifying, 1 main race and 16 races overall.

And for that matter, bring back the proper Hockenheim track, the flat out blast through the forest.

Have you seen the video on youtube of someone driving Monaco from finish to start? It is such a great fast flowing track, one of the better ones on the calendar, As much as I love F1, I too agree 16/18 is about the limit.. Yes, We need a German GP.. More than anything, the race needs to be extended to 400km, most events are way too short..

I'd love for the Hockenheimring and the Nurburgring to be restored to their old glory.... circa 1995 or so... that is...
