I ordered yesterday. The high end 21,5 base model with no BTO. It shipped today and is supposed to arrive tomorrow (i payed 10€ for ups express).
Actualy i am very surprised that i am getting this iMac as quickly as i do. On the phone the guy actually toled me it would arrive on the 20th, when i switched to express it would have been 14-19.12.
Maybe i just have been very lucky, but Apple is catching up to demand FAST.

Ordered my 21.5" BTO on Monday and my status just changed to prepared for shipment. It's still showing delivery 18-21 Dec, but I'm highly optimistic!
My order says "exception". This is the detail - This shipment is warehoused until it is released by Clearing Agency. According to the tracking it is still in China.

Yeah it's easier to slide but not 'slippery' enough to slide unintentionally. As the plastic film doesn't seem to get in the way of anything, I decided to keep the rubber protected as well, to retain a bit of resale value. I'm a freak, I know.

I can relate. On my 20" 2007 model and 24" 2008 iMacs, I cut a piece of that non slip carpet pad stuff for area rugs, the same size as the pedestal and put it underneath. I was paranoid a jolt to the desk would send the computer flying!

I'm based in Oslo, too, and mine will arrive today. It's shipped via Ireland, Germany and Sweden. A hint that it's produced in the US? First time I could track it it was already in Ireland.
Shipments from China to Norway usually go through the Netherlands, that's at least how my last 4-5 apple products have shipped.
Which route did your iMac take?
Well after reading some comments I'm happy with how my shipment is going. Even though had some payment issues for no reason. Supposedly it will get here the 10th hopefully will be sooner. I ordered it Sunday late afternoon so its not that bad. JW when was the actual day orders started?
I have to say, reading all about these dispatched macs is making me more impatient. I ordered 30th nov with fusion. Realised I didn't chose trackpad so called Apple again, he added it but cancelled the old order and my delivery date got pushed further back! Not happy!
Looks like I'm going to be waiting ages to actually use my computer! V. Annoying! A lot of you are very lucky

The good thing about UPS express is that they will go away with your computer in express speed when they are not able to find the enterance to your home fast enough. What an ideot, this is the first time this happend to me and my adress is defenetly right, i dubble checked again.
Interesting, but they do not appear offer any options such as choice of Trackpad or mouse or extra RAM etc.?
I went into the Ipswich iStore yesterday and they had one 21.5 on show, looks lovely, very elegant, I asked about stock and the lassie said she thought they had 1.
I had hoped to have a play with a trackpad, they had one "attached" to a 2011 27", but it did not work as the battery was flat.
So was the battery on the mouse on the neighbouring 2011 21.5, it seems pretty poor not to make sure that your demo models are working properly.I am pleased I ordered mine direct on the 30th, as it has shipped and should be here next Wednesday.
My 21.5" shipped today from the Nederlands (to UK)
Expected delivery date this Friday 7th.

Ordered mine 1st of December still shows 18-21 December #$%& ME !
I ordered the 21" with fusion drive on mid-day, Nov 30th. I live near San Francisco. It came through Shanghai to Alaska and had left there yesterday and is in transit for delivery on the 10th. It was originally set to deliver on the 18th-20th time frame, so they are quicker than originally promised!
Just received mine today. I ordered at 10:30am EST on 11/30. I paid for the 2-3 day shipping. It came today, 12/6, at about 10am. I ordered a 21.5" with Fusion Drive.
Now the tough part is having it next to me in it's box as I sit here trying to work trying to make it to 5pm.

Getting my high end 21.5" fusion drive tomorrow, delivered at work. How will I ever be able to concentrate, just knowing the beast is ready to be unpacked and used!
