I think the producers addressed that issue on the dvd commentary. They said something like "It's assumed that the characters eat and got to the bathroom during the commercial breaks"

They tried to incorporate it a little in Season 1, when tony and nina are seen eating and discussing CTU business. i guess the other days have been too busy for people to stop for lunch break. I peronally don't care. I don't really want to see Chloe take a dump, and if a nuke was gonna go off in my city i probably wouldn't be too hungry.

Before Monday's episode I believed Nadia was innocent. Now I think she's guilty - it's just too convenient that this guy happened to find this thing.

Seems planted somehow and he's working with Nadia.

If that is indeed the case, however, I'll be pissed. They need a new angle - the mole concept is getting old.

Also, it was a little too easy to get Gradenko. But still entertaining, which, really, is all it's about, right?

Well not every operation has to be riddled with difficulty for Jack and the team. I, for one, was relieved that something actually went as smoothly as it did. It did give me a bit of suspense when Brady didn't drop down the first time though.

I think they're going with the "d!ck" angle this season:
"Mr. Buchanan, I think there's a d!ck in CTU..."
"You mean Doyle? I know."
"No, this new guy is a way bigger one!"

:D

:D :D

All in white in case people are sensitive to preview-based spoilers (never mind what Discomunication already wrote):

Next week Jack takes a bullet in the chest... I mean vest.

But for just long enough we'll think he's down for good. "The man who died twice for his country, and lived to tell about it"

Or could this be the real deal? Is this why they're giving Doyle some... depth of character? Is it bad form to be discussing material from previews?

"I'm high as a kite! Lauch the stike."

I was thinking of Bruce Banner: "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." And then Palmer puffs up, turns green, and smashes his way out of the underground compound to hurl missiles at "Assad's country."

Edit: sorry, I'm apparently having a bit too much fun with this. And missing references, too (Jekyll/Hyde vs. Hulk).

OMG what the hell is going on..do think this is like the bush cabinet :p I wonder his motive behind it is. How many more hours/episodes are left?

I hope Jack's. Is this the end of Bauer and that other guy is going to take over

Can't wait for next weeks episode.

Simply stunning. Saw the arm getting hacked off. Knew the missile was going to be launched, simply picked the wrong president :p

8 episodes remain.

one more thing on the gruenkdo thing....why didn't ctu put the thing in his neck, so that the only way to escape was to cut his head off in sacrifice.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw Gredenko's arm. It's not like he's gonna chop off his head, since that would defeat the point of escaping w/o being tracked. I admit I didn't see the arm thing coming, but the guy who injected him should've known that he was STILL a terrorist and would've been willing to cut off his arm, so he should've injected it into Gredenko's skull or neck. But then again, Jack and Co. probably wouldn't have got either of them if it was in his skull, since their escape led to Fayed being beaten by a bunch of bar dudes :)D) and his capture. The place where Gredenko finally keeled over and died from blood loss was genius, though. It was the perfect atmosphere for such an event.

There's stil 8 hours of 24 left though, so now that guy Fayed was questioned by (one of his men) is gonna take over the bomb operation and do what he wanted to with them, before Fayed told him it was not his concern. It seems only natural.

  :D

this show is becoming harder to watch every week. This week the thing with doyle and nadia, the president asking for adrenaline, and the gredenko arm thing, almost had me laughing. Then the president launches the nukes anyway? c'mon! I feel like torturing the television. :)

I wonder if it's a brain-related thing, where he's hallucinating or something. So they'll need another showdown with the VP, only now it will be a choice between a president who's mentally-impaired and a VP that's just plain crazy.

Not that many of my predictions have been right in the past.

I definitely saw that the President would be affected by the adrenaline in more ways than health, just didn't see him launching a missle.

As for the preview of next week, something big better happen to Jack, because as it stands, its not believable at all.

If you don't shoot him in the head, he's not dead.

I think Jack has enough scar tissue on his chest to stop a bullet at this point rendering vests completely redundant.

Also, didn't he have internal injuries that almost prevented him from going in the field 1-2 episodes back? Did they heal in the last hour?

But based on the previews, it looks as though he could disarm the missile or redirect it, since he's talking to the ambassador and telling him to "quit lying to me" because the strike will occur in 2 minutes or whatever.

I think he'll avert the strike and the ambassador will cough up some information about the terrorists.

And Jack won't die like that midway through a day. No way. Obviously, he's wearing a vest or something, since they wouldn't kill him off in that fashion. He still has to go after Kim in China.

You mean Audrey. (Though Kim is her real name)

Yea, Jack has to die an epic death.

I don't really want to see Chloe take a dump,

Are you sure? LOL. :D She could go in the ladies room and while shes in there Nadia makes a call to Assad's men thinking shes alone in the bathroom. Nadia is tipped off to Chloes presence when she hears a flush.
