Yes, the show would be much better if Jack throws the terrorists a tea party instead of bashing their heads in with the back end of his gun.

The show needs character development, we are watching a 24 hour period and getting to know the people is useful.

I know character devlopment is important, but I'm tired of seeing the insane Martha Logan. Character development has increased big time in this season (especially with Jack) and sometimes it just seems forced rather than "natural."

If Jack ever threw a teaparty for the terrorists, I'll stop watching the show.

ABC averaged a 10.8 rating/17 share for the night to beat out CBS, 7.7/12. NBC was not far back in third at 7.1/11. FOX came in fourth with a 6.1/9, and The CW was well off the pace at 1.5/2.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, ABC led the way with a 5.2 rating. FOX took second with a 4.0, holding off CBS, 3.9, and NBC, 3.6. The CW drew a 1.0.

"Dancing with the Stars" kicked off with a 13.0/20 at 8 p.m. NBC was second for the hour with "Deal or No Deal," 8.2/13. "Prison Break" returned to FOX after a brief hiatus to score a 5.3/8. "How I Met Your Mother," 5.0/8, and "Old Christine," 4.7/7, put CBS in fourth, ahead of "Everybody Hates Chris" and "All of Us" on The CW.

At 9 p.m., the second hour of "Dancing" drew a 14.4/21, the night's highest hourly number. NBC held onto second with more "Deal or No Deal," 9.2/14. FOX's "24" took third at 7.0/10. CBS was stuck in fourth at "Two and a Half Men," 7.6/11, and "Rules of Engagement," 6.0/9, came in well below their season averages. The CW went with "Girlfriends" and "The Game."

Jack better not beat up Rainman.

So we know that Doyle is dirty.
Ok maybe not.

Now we got a season, The showdown is on between the Pres and the VP.

god the VP is such a "feminine product" ;)
I wonder what will Gradenco do.... i hope they ship his butt back to Russia and kill Fyied

Ooooooo baby! The Ultimate show down between Pres and VP (as Ms. Sharapova errr MacNut said)

The introduction of that new guy that was on load from division is going to make for a good 2nd (or perhaps primary plot)

So, if they capture Fayed what's going to happen? We clearly need something else to come up. (meaning another terrorist created problem)

As long as they're not shooting a Sharapova we're good to go.

Did we really expect anything less than Jack getting shot at? I'm convinced that the VP will start WWIII. It makes for a great plot if he launched a nuke at the middle east (considering we don't have the exact country)

Hmm, a few things:

Looks like someone's gonna get some after the day ends (provided they both survive).

Reed and that other guy were going after the wrong president. They should've gone after VP Daniels.

;)

I'm almost convinced that the guy who was "supporting" Reed and Carson was Daniels.

It took me a moment to figure out what you meant there. I was trying to figure out if you meant something like being the product of being raised by females... then it clicked. "Ohhh." (I still need to have my coffee.)

Am I the only one who thinks of the Police song Miss Gradenko (on Synchronicity) every other time they say his name? Okay, I probably am. I don't even know what that song is about, nor do I own a copy.

I really don't think they (the writers) will let Daniels launch the missile. I think Palmer will come out on top in this one. At the very least the Joint Chiefs will see that Daniels is trying to usurp the presidency and refuse to go along with him. Not everything that happens to the Palmer family on this show has to be tragedy and defeat.

On another topic, I think Jack handled the autistic guy's predicament pretty well. I just hope they actually take him to see his brother now.

Is it my imagination, or did DB Woodside show about the same acting range while he was in that coma?

:p

I love the fact that the only person that didnt screw up or try to subvert anyone on this show was the retarded guy.

And why didnt Wayne ask for the vice-president's resignation while he had him on the phone? Certainly trying to start a nuclear war is grounds for firing.

I think Brady did a few things for the show, First it made Jack look like a nice guy and that is not something we see often. It also added some suspense when Jack says Brady get down and the kid just stands there for a bit, I was sure that someone was gonna shoot the kid. I think that was a very good plot diversion for the night.

The president can't fire the vice president or force him to resign because the VP is elected, not appointed like a cabinet member. The VP can be removed from office via impeachment the same way the president can be.

Two hours of Dancing With the Stars put ABC on top of the primetime heap again. The show earned a 5.8 rating/15 share in the key 18-49 demo in the 8-10 slot, down a bit from last week's premiere numbers of 6.3/16, but handily beating all other shows in its path.

The network's What About Brian earned a 3.0/8 for its season finale, coming in second in the 10-11 slot. No word yet on whether the show will be picked up for next season.

Overall, ABC notched a 4.9/13.

Fox was in second place with a 4.0/10 for Prison Break and 24.

In third place, NBC got a 3.2/8 for two hours of Deal or No Deal (a rerun in the 8-9 slot and an original episode from 9 to 10) and The Black Donnellys, which continued to under-perform in the 10-11 slot (2.3/6).

CBS was fourth with a 3.0/8 for an all-encore night (comedies and CSI: Miami).

Gah, where's Monica Lewinsky when you need her? :p
