tonight's episode was eh... who honestly builds a safe room with access to an air duct... c'mon writers you could have thought of something better.
:p
Don't ask just enjoy.

It was a good episode overall.

Well I thought that was weird too, but it kind of makes sense. With no vent, how would they get oxygen? There's probably a vent of some sort in those rooms. That, or the room is full of beautiful, leafy plants. ;)

I'm pumped 24 is finally back. I do see some similar plot elements to old shows already though. I hope it's still exciting and a few twists and turns are thrown in.

We won't see it happen, we'll slowly get more details as the "day" progresses, but to my knowledge, I don't think we've ever seen a flashback in 24...

I could be mistaken though.

Only happened in season 1 at the very end, when Jack found out that Teri was killed. :(

Reminds me of Panic Room, if you've ever seen that. Rooms like that NEED an air duct, or else you wouldn't be able to breath, unless they built that room with an oxygen tank. :p

Silent clock... well.. almost.

We'll dub it the "breathing clock". :D

They make gas masks and filtration systems to prevent just gassing out people in those rooms. Or the vent should be coming in underground from a relatively random location, not tied to the heating/cooling vent on the wall opposite the safe room...

But, as always, giving Jack the opportunity to kick butt is more important than logic in 24.

I thought that the safe rooms were supposed to have there own air, water, power, phones?

I think that was pretty lame when you see jack cutting the vent and putting in the chemicals

Having said that, shooting Rene walker - that bought back memories from season one when he had to shoot nina. But they both were un harmed. I wonder how she is going to get out of the hole she is in??

tonights episode was pretty good. I'm glad the first man was able to escape. I feel bad for the girl. I hope jack stops the attack in ohio but then where does this go. I don't see how this can go on for another few hours/episodes unless they show more of his trial.

The trial isn't until tomorrow. The show will already be over. ;)

Just wait until Kim shows up. I'm sure she'll find some entertaining situations to consume 4 or 5 episodes.

i don't know about you but i want President Palmer back :p
Do you think the writers anticipated Hillary winning the bid for president cause there's some similarities IMO.

The first man hasn't escaped yet ;) you forget the guy in the sedan out front

I hear he's in good hands.

I've been an avid watcher of 24, but the retardation of the show is making it difficult to watch. There are so many gaffes, i.e. the terrorists riding around in a yellow school bus and the adrenaline syringe with a whole 2 inch long needle are extremely stupid. I still watch but it turns into background noise while I do something else.

I don't mean to be a hater! :(

I thought the 2 planes crashing into each other was really cheesy. I mean like they wouldn't have seen each other?

tonight's episode was good. I thought the first gentleman would be ok but i guess not. What a crappy way to die that engineer guy feel bad for his family. I wonder what his demands are now...

edit - did anyone else notice that Dubaku uses a blackberry and Jack used an iphone to see into the room tonight with the camera thing through the vent

I am liking this new season, they have gone back to basics. It is thiner and leaner with less side plots.

I love when this show gets going, we are through the first act and now it gets down to business.

we certainly did get down to business tonight! Tonight was really good and intense.
God i hate that Dubaku :p Hope the first gentleman make it through. Never thought he would get shot, i thought jack saved him just in time. I jumped 10 feet in the air when that happened lol

that was one crazy hour, and we saw the best of jack bauer right there, fighting punks and killing one, stealing cars. but renee isn't quite the fit, she's no bauer.

btw, the dukabu's gf's sister will be dead very soon...

another great episode of 24, can't wait until next week.

Yeah it was a pretty good episode. But where is Tony? I think they should have at least shown him in a split screen if not focus on him for a bit. Best quote of the night, "With all due respect, Madam President, ask around."

I'm not sure I like the compartmentalized "mini-plots" that they have going that seem to get resolved in a couple hours just to have the next crisis hit. There's very little in story arc that seems to be holding the episodes together... they might as well have just picked the most interesting hour of 24 different days.

I think Tony turned over again to the other side. I think the fact that they didn't show him only adds to the suspicion... And that was an awesome quote.

Copy that.

Just finished watching it. The hour just flew by faster than any episode in years.

Another good hour... i knew that FBI agent was dirty. Hope he burns in "h e double hockey sticks" :p and Jeane Garfallo needs to go..what a b--- to sneak around...
I thought it was cool to see some of the old school CTU people. But i still miss Edgar :(
