Oh crap.

This might go down as the biggest moment in the shows history.

Looks like they may have topped season 5.

the 'crap' has just hit the fan. It doesn't look good for the president should have listened in the first place.

great show, but i sure hope people in the real government and fbi aren't as petty and dumb as the ones on the show (see the vice president not wanting to go into the white house and save the hostages). oh well.

i think the part where the president wants to get out of the lockdown room to save her daughter was one of the best moments of the series (i was almost like the daughter for a moment right there), and next week looks to be almost as good.

This will be the third president they kill in 7 seasons they just love killing them off don't they (pretty sure this post will some how go onto some SS list somewhere)

of all the things Jack B has done over the years - disobeying higher ups, torturing ppl (and in the white house no less :) ! BUT, then he listens to the president and opens the door.

as much as I like this show, that was BS. I know the writers had to get that in, but that's crap. JB wouldn't have done it.

and i sure wish he would have punched senator mayer in the face when JB was brought out. what a loser character.

of course, I live in canada to previews for next week weren't shown! i'll see if i can find it on the web.

Basically juma forces the president to read a prepared speach before killing her. JB tries to convice billy boy to make a move to save the president. Moss tries to convice the VP to move into the white house taking out juma but fails so he decides to move in on his own accord. the VP is trying to stop moss from launch the attack some how. Juma kills a hostage he has about 50 of em. And there is an explosion

I get that they're trying to make it interesting but please, no surveillance in the lock down room for law enforcement to track or an emergency phone line. All the SS operatives were either stupid or useless and a whole experienced jack actually opens the door. The soldiers guarding the house also happen to disappear when needed ...i mean seriously?

The senator has to be one of the most annoying characters ever, jack should've b**ch slapped him when he spoke. Also the VP has to be the biggest p**sy ever!

Then again its just a TV show

I have a funny feeling the president AND her daughter are gonna die

There is another 12 hours to go, this standoff won't last more than 2 episodes at most. So we know there is at least one more big reveal to happen.

You thought the FBI and government agents were dumb and the part with the President saving her daughter was smart? I thought that was the dumbest thing J-Bizzle ever did on the show.

So from the preview, it looks as though the Prez is going to die? :(

i was viewing that part purely as an emotional reaction. i would have done the same thing if i was jack, but then again, i get queasy when they threaten to do the things that they were going to do to her. i don't blame jack, there's not much he could do there. that and they haven't gotten along the past few hours...

too bad about bill. now jack has only one person that he has left that likes him. but give it up for the stupidity of the fbi. if you see a still screen for that long, don't tell me you're going to check to see what's wrong. if they only listened to jack...i wish they could do something for themselves.

and the first daughter has a point: time to clean house and start by getting a new #2 man.

I don't know what the writers are trying to do with the daughter, I mean it seamed like they are trying to turn it into a soap opera the way that she did that 180 on him. If anything I would question the vice president decision making skills, I still dont know if he has a role to play in all this since he would of course become President if Yuma's plan had gone through.

tonights episode was messed up, they killed one of the most important characters. I'm surprised his reaction all of this wasn't shown that much. A few tear but i guess he needs to move on for the next few hours of the day.

Jack sat hunched over in the door frame went they went to commercial break using a silent clock. When the commercial break was over, he was still sitting there. That's a good 5 minutes, which is pretty emotional for Jack.

Heck, I very nearly shed a tear at the silent clock.

why is the fbi head moss so stupid to assume bauer did all of those things that bauer didn't do at all? oh well. at least bauer made up for it by flipping the house on the guy near the end of the show.

anyone think the chole lite (glasses girl) is a spy as well? wouldn't surprise me.

No, but I think Tony Almeida is.

At the end, when he was on the phone with Jack, Jack cut him off before he could say what he wanted to say, and that was, "Jack, don't go down to the dock. I'm in on this."

Well, that's my guess, anyway. He seems to fit the whole profile of a guy who works for this Star____ (whatever their name is) group of mercenaries.

Just a possibility.

I think the first daughter is in on it.

You know, you may have just bit the bullet! I'm thinking this is the case as well. I mean, who was she talking to or messing with when she first appeared on this season? Who was that guy? And c'mon, in the previews, Ethan resigning? I bet you they're intentionally making it look like Ethan is a mole in the White House, but in the end, it's the daughter that's the mole.

And wouldn't it make is so much more interesting if the first daughter was colluding with a conspiracy, especially since she hates her mother? This could end up being similar to the case of Nina Myers and Jack Bauer...Thinks they're working on the same side, but near the end of the season, a big plot unfolds between the president and the first daughter... :D

If it's the daughter, it would be "too unrealistic". :p

Haha, but who's to say that 24 is realistic? ;)

And what would be better, Nina Myers betraying Jack Bauer, or the First Daughter betraying the Madam President? Who knows, maybe the daughter had something to do with her brother's death? We still don't really know a damn thing about how he died!

We'll see what happens! I'm actually loving this season so far! It's getting better and better, which is a good thing! The extra time definitely helped them out, because season 6 was POOP. I'm gonna act like season 6 never happened... :(

Bringing on Jon Voight was an even better move for them, as his character is AWESOME in this season. Just the lines that he says makes it even better. You can't beat "Stress is the fertilizer of creativity"!
