I really think the movie will take place back in time. It will be like a young Jack or something.

The way the day is going I don't see how Jack is not killed off.

I note that the iTunes store now only goes up to episode 15....6AM to 7AM.

What happened there? Last week I downloaded episode 20...

Good theory. I don't think this is the direction that they'll go in but I understand your point. Jack's having a rough day. To make it out alive is going to be something.

I heard in an interview, though, that the movie would not be in the realtime format, so it could mean it covers a lot of his past in small bits. It'd be rough to find a young Jack the audience believes.

I do think the producers have been trying to find a character to keep the show going with the Freddie Prince's of years past, but they haven't found anyone who could live up to the Bauer role.

My bet is that Jack takes the fight to foreign soil. At the end of this Day, he decides the only way to get revenge is to head to Russia and take out everyone. Just a theory...

So long as we don't get a "Jack stares into the ocean" ending like in Day 6...

24 seriously just jumped the shark, Jack as Iron Man. The show is losing it's reality quick. Jack out for blood, the story has just fallen apart. This is a bit much even for the 24 reality field.

This is the Jack that I love...pure BADASS

I hope he tortures Logan...but I think that Logan will get away so that he can be the villain in the first 24 Movie...

They are just killing everyone off to have a short cast for the movie.

I really think they ruined the Jack Bauer character in just letting him snap like this.

He's been on the brink of snapping for a long time. But there was something to be said about his integrity (which is now gone).

Bauer has to be killed before the day is out or this whole show will be a sham. There is nowhere else to take the character.

The fire poker in the gut of the Russian dude? That's not Bauer. If he wouldn't have been going up the elevator, I would have doubted it was his doing.

What will they do for the movie? Still thinking it's a flashback? I guess the only thing he could do moving forward would be to kill the American or Russian Prez. I just don't see either of these happening.

I thought Subarov wasn't going to be involved with the day's events, but I guess I was wrong.

I don't see how they can do a movie after what Jack did and still be able to take him seriously. This is the end of the line for Jack Bauer.

The thing that I think is so odd is that they really never showed you how strong the Jack and Renee thing was. I mean there were some subtle hints in last season to show that it was a possibility for the future and then they did expand on it some this season. But, it just seems odd that he would go to such an extreme over Renee. I guess they want us to believe that there was some bond coming out of last season and that something occurred between the seasons of which we will never ever get the full details.

I'm truly lost on how they resolve this. Jack's death does seem like a real possibility at this point. It would bring complete finality to the character. The movie doesn't matter because they can set that during any point in time they want.

I think Renee dyeing was the last straw of what was 7 years of heartache for Jack. First his wife is murdered, then Audury goes insane and now Renee. All the women he has loved were taken from him and this is his revenge. The fact that Jack is taking it out on everyone is the only real ending. Jack has been conflicted since the beginning and is now finally letting loose and not caring who he takes out. I have always thought that the series will end with Jack either killing himself or getting killed. We have always seen the soft tough guy side and this is his I don't give a **** who I take down side.

I think the only reason he didn't kill Logan was to find out who the real ringleader was.

And Jack has killed just about everybody in his path. Now he's got a knarly wound to deal with when he goes to kill the President of Russia.

That's nothing. I lost Michelle Dessler and Nadir Yassir, and I'm fuming mad!

Just watched it and am very disappointed. Totally jumped the shark. Sad, they couldn't resist with only 3 hours left.

I think the last 2 hours will be unbearable. Even for the 24 reality field they went over board.

How can you draw random lines in the sand dictating what is and isn't overboard? The whole premise of the show is overboard. Every mole that manages to find work at CTU; the way computers work perfectly; how Jack gets to speak to the President on his mobile. The whole exercise is about suspension of belief and what better way to end than complete suspension in the form of OTT action and adrenalin-inducing thrills? Bring it on.

RoboCop Jack killing everything in his way to get to President Logan went way past the reality field even for 24 standards.
