I got the shipping confirmation e-mail now.
BUT.......
the tracking number they gave me doesn't resolve on DHL's website.
has anyone not received shipping confirmation? (i.e. received a backorder email or an order confirmation email but not a shipping confirmation with a tracking number)

I started this thread... so I bought it before you? haha i dont know.how'd you get yours so quick? i ordered mine on tuesday at 7:53 am PST (i live in socal) and didn't get an at&t email confirmation until wed. Now it says it should get here by friday.Me want iPhone NOW

I ordered mine at about 4:30 pm EST on Tuesday, and received confirmation and tracking number roughly 20 hours later. Estimated arrival via DHL is tomorrow. NICE!!! I'm so psyched

Well everything went smooth with the unlock/jailbreak/whatever. I'm now using my iPhone on T-mobile. Ziphone was probably the easiest software I've ever used. I'm just trying to find how to get T-zones to work then I'll be all set. If anyone has any ideas or can point me in the right direction that would be awesome.
Mine shipped this morning, but is still cannot track it! UGH! I want to know when it is going to get here. I called DHL, and they said that they do not deliver on Saturday so it looks like I am going to have to wait until Monday.
DHL is definitely go to get some negative feedback from me, their tracking system sucks, it is never updated, and they are not competitive, UPS delivers on Saturday without having to pay extra.

Settings -> General -> Date & Time, under calendar, you have "Time Zone Support" and "Time Zone" you can choose different time zone there.

No, but it seems like almost all of them have been shipped from Fort Worth TX (anyone's not?) and you can then go to DHL to estimate transit times to your zip.
Umm, really? UPS usually charges an arm and a leg for Saturday delivery (an extra $15 - $20), depending on whether it's residential or commercial delivery. (Of course, maybe this isn't true in NYC or other uber-urban areas?)

I ordered mine at 9am PDT and have only recieved the backorder email from at&t.... I have called them to try and get it sped up. but no success. i hope i dont miss out. has anyone else not received shipping info yet?

Really I have had them deliver on Saturday a lot, and I have never paid extra for shipping.
PS I am in Utah- not urban

I just checked my BellSouth e-mail on the Web. Still haven't gotten a shipping confirmation but that stupid BACKORDER e-mail is still there. I did order mine later than a bunch of you, but that doesn't make it any less stress-inducing. Makes me want to pinch and flick myself.
UPDATE: Literally just checked again after posting before and MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED!!!! DHL won't track my number yet, but it's obviously not a problem. Anyway, WOOT. If it somehow arrives tomorrow I might soil myself.
When i call the number to check my order status it says, "Your order has been activated and will ship within 24 hours" but when I talk to the reps they say it is backordered. What is with the conflicting status?
Well, here's one possibility. I worked for BellSouth's DSL tech support years ago and it was some company contracted out to do it. When stuff gets contracted out, things are not nearly as seamless. With AT&T now absorbing BellSouth and Cingular, there's no telling how segmented everything still is.
Even more fun, try to get your discount with DirecTV because of bundling your phone and stuff. That's even MORE fun. Apple works so much better because they are one big socialist empire (and I say that as a GOOD thing!!!).
T-zones as in T-mobile's $5.99 internet plan that can be used for more than just checking your minutes.

Im planning on using Ziphone also. What version did you unlock? Did you upgrade to 1.1.4 before you unlocked it?
If I don't have Tmobile can I still get T-zones for $5.99?? If I can't is there anyway around it, maybe like going prepaid and just never buying minutes and adding the T-zones? I could care less for youtube
I called my local DHL and they told me that my package should arrive in their warehouse tomorrow morning and then ship out to me and be guaranteed to be at my door before 5:00pm. The problem is i'm impatient and I don't want to be sitting around the house all day waiting for it so I asked if they could just leave it in the warehouse and have me pick it up from there after they open. The lady said it was cool so now I can just pick it up tomorrow morning and not have to wait!! YIPPIE!
