27" Delivery time thread.

I can confirm that the package will mover closer on Saturday. Mine arrived in Baltimore late last night and Departed Baltimore at 7:30am

The sucky past being that Baltimore is like 1.5 hours away, they could deliver if today if they really wanted to haha

Yep, still processing. Honestly, I can't imagine my status page ever changing. But even when it does, I have to say my enthusiasm is considerably dampened.

You placed your order with the reseller on the 28th, but I am pretty sure the reseller couldn't place their order with Apple until the 30th. I don't know if they go to the back of the line, but I don't think letting people order prior to the official sale date puts those orders at the front of the line. It's hard to know exactly when they transmitted your order to Apple, but it's at that point that you got in the queue rather than when you placed your order with Expercom.

saturday fed ex delivery

my computer made it to south bend last night. I called fed ex this morning to see if I could pick it up. They told me no because it would not be uncrated until processing for Monday delivery. It was a different container than the Saturday deliveries. I thought, OK, I have waited this long-Monday won't kill me.
I took my family out for a Santa breakfast thing, only to find a feckin fedex missed delivery tag waiting when i got home.
I had been stalking the fedex plane all the way from Shanghai only to miss a damn delivery.
I called again and I can pick up at the location today at 3:00P
I am surprised Apple sprung for Saturday delivery.
Go figure.

No, they don't deliver Saturday unless the shipper pays extra. I tried to get them to let me pick it up will call from their facility but they wouldn't let me do that before Monday -- so I'll just wait for them to deliver it on Monday

Same here... Mine is only 30 mins away in NJ

If it really is at the local office, you can go pick it up. Mine local office closes at 2PM, but mine still shows it is sitting at the airport distribution center, and they don't want you showing up there.

Wait. I ordered not on the 30th, but ON THE 28TH! Two days before the thing went on sale. I ordered through a reseller, who offered a better deal on RAM and no tax. (Apparently there's no sales tax in Utah, where Expercom is located.) My status has remained stubbornly at "Processing" through all the celebrations and unboxings and nitpicking over Shanghai flight paths on this site. I now wonder if resellers are automatically put at the back of the line. No point in getting upset. It is what it is.

I would have every reason to believe that ALL orders taken by Expercom prior to 00:01Hrs 11/30/2012 were then manually entered at the Apple Store BY EXPERCOM Personnel FIRST THING in the morning on of their workday on Friday November 30, 2012.

Consider your order to be placed sometime during the morning (after 07:00 or 08:00 PST) on November 30, 2012.

Mine is less than 40 minutes away... if only they would get it out of the distribution center in the next hour, and to my local office!

I would have every reason to believe that ALL orders taken by Expercom prior to 00:01Hrs 11/30/2012 were then manually entered at the Apple Store BY EXPERCOM Personnel FIRST THING in the morning on of their workday on Friday November 30, 2012.

Consider your order to be placed sometime during the morning (after 07:00 or 08:00 PST) on November 30, 2012.

And also, I presume you've been checking your order status on Expercom's website rather than Apple's. It will probably say processing at least until they receive your machine from Apple to put the memory in. Will they update you when they know that Apple has shipped your iMac to them?

I'm hoping that perhaps it actually comes Monday...not sure why it would be here today (8 miles down the road) yet not get delivered until Tuesday.

My iMac left the ups hub in West Sac California just after midnight but haven't been updated since. Even though the sort facility is less than a 2hr drive from sac. The sort facility is only 2miles from my house... So either it's still in sac and they won't actually ship it out until Monday morning. Or it's sitting 2miles away from me and they won't scan it in until Monday.

Mine is via UPS and it shows going through Davenport (?? odd not DesMoines) late last night, departing at 1:51AM for, I assume, Cedar Rapids ... but that is the end of the trail. It probably won't be sorted and scanned again until early Monday morning when it is put on the truck for delivery.

Hope we both get ours on Monday!
