Thanks guys, yeah it surprised the hell out of me my scheduled delivery date was Monday as of late last night. I'm not sure when it changed but came about 10:00am here in the Sacramento area.

I have not opened it yet as I got some backing up to do still but I hope it is free of scuffs, yellow screen etc will keep you guys posted :p

8 minute club

I finally switced to Preparing for shipment yesterday and shipped 15 hours later (ordered Nov 30 at 12:08am, basic cheapest 27 imac). Due for delivery by Fed Ex in Vancouver, Canada by Dec 19.

Question though.... my credit card has never had an authorization or hold on it and it still hasn't been charged. Every other time I've ever ordered anything from Apple, a hold on the card goes on right away. Then the hold disappears and a charge shows up before it is shipped. It's kinda odd nothing has happened to my credit card yet and it's already shipped and in transit.

Monday is going to be sick in the US!!!

Any action in the EU? I've still got a damn cancel button!

I would have every reason to believe that ALL orders taken by Expercom prior to 00:01Hrs 11/30/2012 were then manually entered at the Apple Store BY EXPERCOM Personnel FIRST THING in the morning on of their workday on Friday November 30, 2012.

Consider your order to be placed sometime during the morning (after 07:00 or 08:00 PST) on November 30, 2012.
.

That's not what it says on the Apple site, where everyone is checking their status now. Apple says "Ordered on November 28." If it were just a matter of an Expercom employee placing the order on 11/30, the Apple site would say 11/30. Apple would have no way of knowing the actual date the order was made. But Apple clearly lists it as November 28.

I suspect the early orders were logged in as they arrived from resellers but may have been tagged as a second-class priority. Someone who has been in this situation will be able to settle the matter, as you may very well be right, no matter what the listed date is.

And also, I presume you've been checking your order status on Expercom's website rather than Apple's. It will probably say processing at least until they receive your machine from Apple to put the memory in. Will they update you when they know that Apple has shipped your iMac to them?

Thank you, bayleaves. I know how long you've been waiting. Yes I do check the Expercom site, which is listed as the purchaser. I have all the numbers I need to log in, and I'm seeing what Expercom would see on the Apple site . I will be notified in the sequence you're all familiar with. First Apple will tell me it's shipped. Then I will get a tracking number. Then the notifications will repeat. Expercom will email me that they're processing, about to ship, shipped, new tracking number. My guess is I'm not going to see real movement until Christmas eve day and will probably receive the iMac on New Year's eve day

delivered

Dec 15, 2012 11:10 AM PDT, Delivered one 3.4GHz i7 with GTX 680MX and Fusion Drive.

The GPU benchmarking under OS X begins . . .

My iMac is now sitting in Memphis. Apparently some of them are being shipped over the weekend and some are not. I think a Monday delivery would have been possible but I guess it will not arrive until Tuesday now. I called FedEx curious about it and they said these IP shipments are handled by a different team and they are not available on the weekends.

I was going to stay home Monday morning for the delivery and then go back to work. The more I think about it, I'll probably take the whole day off to get acquainted with my new computer :)

I'm not sure if it is common buy my local Apple Store has a 27" model on display as of yesterday. I'm not sure when they received it. I should have asked.

You never know, yours might come earlier - I hope so! You I are both definitely lucky we ordered when we did, because who knows when people ordering now will get their computers. I wasn't familiar with Expercom - that's cool how they have it set up so you can keep track of the status before it even gets to them.

My order is still processing and I'm losing hope for pre-Xmas delivery:(:(:(. Ordered on Dec 3rd, shipping 3-4 weeks, delivery 4-10 January.

Is it still possible? When my status will change? Please help!

Considering a covert raid on the FedEx sort facility in Berkeley MO (St. Louis Airport) to rescue my iMac! It arrived at 5AM, why wouldn't they forward it to my local FedEx office, which was open until 2PM. I even called and they said it was still part of a pallet, so I couldn't just pick it up until it made it to the Collinsville IL office. Anyone in St. Louis have black ninja jumpsuits? Let's roll! :D

my mac looks like it was JUST made lol.. as all of ours i guess! i blotted out my serial num of course
