Bummer. At least I got a superdrive out of the trauma!

Same here, doubting the import delay gets resolved in time but apple was very friendly and shipped me a SuperDrive at no cost, I did not even ask for anything nor was I mad with them. Apple really does have great CS from my perspective.

This can't be right?

my iMac was in Oakland this morning, which is less than 2 hrs from my house....and it is now in freaking Memphis? WTF????

Same as you and cscscs... There should be flights out tonight after midnight, I'm hoping we are moving then .

nothing is going to happen until FedEx gets the paperwork and the Macs clear customs. I doubt Apple did anything over the weekend. I'm hoping it will be taken care of tomorrow. I'm not counting on the 12/24 delivery by 10:30am though.

I ordered my iMac on the 5th
My creditcard didn't get charged but the amount was deducted from my reserve. I noticed today however that the reserve is back up to the normal amount so my card didn't get charged. My order status is unchanged however on processing with estimated delivery 03-09 January

Is there a problem? Do I need to do something?

No, no problem. I ordered on the 6th, and I suspect (FINGERS CROSSED!) that if we're REALLY LUCKY, we might have our orders change status on Monday.

I understand the angst and the desire to have your order, it is a beautiful computer.

Apple was up front about this situation. On October 23, 2012; Tim Cook stated that initial supply quantities would be limited, particularly for the 27" model.

Yes, the order processing and shipping has been a Chinese clustf#$k of a mess.

Has Apple broken their promised delivery window for ANYONE?

I agree with you 100%. I think - and I'll gladly admit to this - because we are so eager to get out machines, we're passing time by bitch*ng :)

Help Please

Please contact me via quote of this post or private message, if you ordered your 27" iMac after 2:00 PM PST on 11/30 and it is preparing for shipment, Shipped or received. If possible, include date / time ordered and specs. I ordered the i7 wit 8GB, 680 and 3TB fusion and am still processing

I ordered my iMac on November 30 and I don't have it yet (although I should very soon). Do I feel that Apple owes me anything? No. Am I mad that some people who ordered after me already received their iMacs? No.

Before I ever clicked on the purchase button I was informed that the Mac would ship in 3-4 weeks. I didn't necessarily like that, but I agreed to that when I clicked "purchase". Apple actually shipped my Mac in 2 weeks and 5 days, beating their projection by 2-9 days.

When I completed the order I was informed that my Mac would be delivered between Dec 31 and Jan 7. It now appears that Apple and UPS are going to beat that by 6-13 days.

I'm getting what I was told I would get and what I agreed to. Actually, better than. That others may have received even faster service is ultimately irrelevant to whether or not I received the service I ageed to when I purchased. While I can kind of understand a certain amount of frustration, I can't say I understand anger or a sense of being owed something more. Just my two cents.

Exactly! Sure it might not be exactly first order in, first shipped out. But if Apple gets it to you on or before the dates they promised why all the Apple hate?

I just wish I had a date. Right now all I have is a month. January.

Ditto. Even though when I first ordered (12/3) I had 2-7 January but I appreciate things don't always go to plan. I waited 9 months for this, 2 more weeks wont kill me

In a nutshell this ^^^^^

I agree, they gave me 2 -7 Jan after the wired transfer was verified and i'll be happy if it gets to my house between those dates... If it came sooner i'd be just as happy... only a little earlier :D Honestly i'm actually enjoying this torture a little bit. I like looking forward to getting the iMac and coming to this forum reading everyone's posts about delivery dates, cancel buttons, flight numbers... Some posts make me laugh out loud... Some people are crazy/funny. I'm sure gonna miss the iMac delivery topics.

Today is monday and im still processing. Apple has until friday for me to receive my imac otherwise they would have failed on their promised delivery date.

Finally.....my imac is in my town. Delivery should finally be tomorrow by 10am. We'll see. Should have been here thur or Fri last week.
