"Hold at FedEx location" appears as an option on my tracking page. Maybe it has more to do with your location

But when you click the hold button is says it can't be held due to size and length. Because I am leaving to go out of town on Wednesday I called FedEx, to see what my options were. She stated that on Tuesday afternoon I should be able to call back and hold it at the location.

On a side note, when I asked where it was right now she laughed and said it hasn't even left China and they just picked it up. For whatever that is worth.

lucky problems

Lucky problem to have.... mine is still processing.

Call Fedex, they held my 21". Wasn't listed as an option, I had to call.

Yeah the option is there, but when I click on it I get an error stating, "We regret any inconvenience but Hold at FedEx Location service is not available for this shipment because the length and girth exceed the allocations allowed for this service."

I may try to give them a call and see what they say.

"For you that stated UPS Worldwide Expedited was a slogan for UPS, it is a shipping option. Non of these systems coming from China are standard shipments. Standard shipping is a ground shipping service available for only the 48 continental united states, canada, and mexico. 4-5 business days is the UPS Worldwide Expedited service and "standard" as far as what apple tells us on the website when we order and is free. This is why when people talk to a CSO from Apple they state that all the shipments are expedited. In a sense they are, because that is the shipping product they chose. It is still a 4-5 business day shipment regardless. Peace."

Totally. Messed up the quoting thing lol dumb in my end

There is a chance I will be out of town when mine is to be delivered. When I was on the phone with Apple, the representative told me not to call UPS or Fed Ex about holding my computer at the local office for pickup. He said to call Apple when it ships and they would do that from their end?

I hope that might help you too!

Cool. I have a manager I have been working with on something else. She already gave me a discount and expedited the shipping, so maybe she will be able to do something about the hold.

We have the exact same configuration (except that I'm not having Pages pre-installed), and mine still shows as processing. I ordered mine at 12:15 am on 11/30. They're definitely getting these out the door in random order.

I wonder if apple is prioritizing the US, I had an earlier delivery date than a lot of these people whose iMacs have shipped, but I'm in Australia and it is still processing :( nonetheless congrats to those who have shipped, youse are going to be telling all of us how it is :D

Yep in in Australia and my delivery date was one of the earliest (20th to 24th) It seems the USA is priority.

Even though I'm in the states I totally understand. I placed my order 15 mins after it was listed online and the dates are Dec. 21-28. Somehow they skipped right past me and shipped out orders that were placed several hours after mine
