I had to cancel my order for a 27 as I won't be around during the delivery estimates.

Hopefully I can order while I'm on Chrimbo Holidays and have the bugger arrive just as I get back...

Although I get the feeling it could jump out to 4-6 weeks, even two months!

I just have to suck it up and expect it at the end of Jan or early Feb.

BTO iMac 27" with i7, 1 TB fusion, 680mx delivers Dec 24th - Dec 31st. I wasted time trying to use my employee purchase plan, which gave no discount, and back to the education store which apparently lost me 4 days.

I don't think it was your time that pushed back the date. I ordered the same thing, was finished placing the same order as you at 12:02 Apple Daylight Time! Same time frame. I think the OP is getting his earlier because it didn't include the Fusion Drive.

Do what I just suggested someone else do, watch the delivery dates and order as soon as it fits your needs. Maybe build in an extra week just to be safe.
