Info for FedEx shipments to the US

FedEx picks up shipments from the factory twice a day, in the morning and evening. If your package is picked up in the morning it is eligible to make the evening flight out of Pudong Airport [PVG]. If, however, your package is picked up in the afternoon, it is beyond the FedEx cut-off and WILL NOT be on those nightly flight(s). Basically, anybody with an afternoon pick up is essentially assessed a 24 hour penalty and has to wait until the next days flight.

Once you actually see tracking info that shows that it is enroute things move VERY QUICKLY. The evening flight from Pudong stops in Anchorage and splits its cargo for west coast, Memphis, and east coast flights. You can typically expect to receive it THE NEXT DAY.

What does suck is the weekend penalty. FedEx ships out of Pudong on Saturday, but will sit in Memphis or wherever on Sunday. No FedEx flights from Pudong on Sunday.

2-3 day shipping never counts the first day and doesn't count Sat and Sun.

And to clarify, there is no "next day" shipping from China

What was your delivery date originally? And did you order right around 12:00AM PST?

It seems it really is random

Australia; Switched to Preparing For Shipment

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5

I just noticed something weird, looking at my delivery method (which a rep said she sped up the shipping time when I called the next day) after 2-3 Business days it says (excl.gift cards) - Free

I've been watching it like a hawk and I know for sure that wasn't there earlier today. Is that my "expedited" or quicker shipping now noted? Hopefully it means itll get prepared for shipment soon...wishful thinking. ;):D

whats recycling fee about?

No, not by country (at least not completely) if you are in Hong Kong. I am in the U.S. and ordered at 12:15 am on 11/30 and mine still shows as processing.

is it possible countries take longer time to delivery, ship first?

It's a fee used to pay for the recycling of electonics.
It's required in the UE.
It's for the iMac 1,01 € in France.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but what I'm saying is that not all U.S. orders from 11/30 are shipping before they are starting to be shipped to other countries. So it doesn't seem to be shipping by country, except maybe groups of countries (I've only seen U.S., Hong Kong, and Australia show up so far. And maybe someone from E.U.). It certainly isn't being shipped by order time. Lots of people in the U.S. who ordered after me have had their orders shipped, and there are a lot of people in the same boat.

Still processing but....

The first temporary authorization to my credit card bank expired 4 or 5 days ago, and this morning, after 2 am, Apple posted another temp authorization to my account.

I keep checking my order page, and it still say "Processing Items", however seeing this news from my bank, I am now hopeful that my transaction will move to the next stages in the coming hours. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ordered:

•3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
•8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
•1TB Fusion Drive
•NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB GDDR5
•Magic Trackpad
•Apple Wireless Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
•Accessory Kit.

Just called Apple (Spain), i had some doubt regarding an item of my BTO 27" and i was not offred any freebie :( this might only be a US policy...lucky!!!

Just noticed my order now states 'Dec 17 by end of day' delivery to NC, USA. Original email had said delivery Dec 18. Good news! (Not expedited, UPS, ordered 5:30A EST on day of release)

No Not from EU.
I ordered it 1 hour after it went live.
Got an est delivery date of 21st.

I forgot Canada. Still pretty sure I saw someone from E.U. whose order was either preparing for shipment or shipped, but obviously it wasn't you. :) Time you ordered on the 30th seems to make no difference. I ordered 15 minutes after it went live, and mine is still processing.
