27" Delivery time thread.

I think today shipments are to 'Asia Pacific' because HK, Singapore got status changed too. So maybe tomorrow is EU. Let's hope.
 
I got a shipment notice early this morning for my BTO 27" 3.4 8MB 1GB fusion 680MX. I paid for expedited delivery and FedEx says this Friday for delivery.

I started saving in June of 11 for my expectations of a February release (ha!) so it's been a long wait.

Seriously, what am I gonna do with my spare time from not checking MacRumors forums?
 
I ordered two 27" iMacs on release date. One at 6am and another at 10am. The one I ordered at 10am is now "Preparing for Shipment". The one I ordered at 6am is still "Processing". The one at 10am had more upgrades (bigger HD and upgraded graphics). No delivery time sent yet.
 
Any emerging trends?

So is there any pattern to these shipments? One thread was supporting the notion that the Fusion drive upgrade was the cause of delay? But then I see 1TB Fusion orders placed AFTER I placed mine are preparing for shipment...

I placed the following order 11/30 8:00am EST:
3.2 I5
8GB
+ 1TB Fusion
+ 680MX
+ Keyboard w/num pad.
Mouse

Still "Processing" with delivery scheduled Dec. 24th-31st.

I just want it by the 24th. Please Apple.

Finally in last few hours changed to prepared for shipping.

I received my shipment notification at 2:00AM EST. UPS says scheduled for delivery on the 17th.
Placed my order on Nov 30 @ 7:09AM EST
Originaly Apple said delivery would be Dec 24 - Dec 31.

Hoping it comes 1 day (3 days) earlier on this Friday since I am off work! Waiting to see if the delivery time will move up once it hits stateside.

I noticed that too. And I took it to mean that they no longer include pages, numbers, and keynote with the sale of the iMacs. No biggy to me I use MS Office anyways, its much better.

The only pattern is that we all ordered it on 11/30. It does not matter what time, as Apple seems to be shipping all the 11/30 orders out randomly.

Wow, do you think its too late to ask for priority? Im in the US, and expecting a 12/18..
I keep seeing people post 12/13, and I wish Id payed extra for the express shipping now.
 
Since expedited vs standard shipping does make a huge difference despite the earlier FALSE statements that they are the same. I called apple and the nice lady lady switched to expedited for me, but mine is still processing :eek:

Does anyone know what the "excl gift card" means?

lol if it's already shipped you cannot change it, apple is good but they are not magical elves.

Excluding gift cards. I guess it means if they are shipping any gift cards, they won't come via 2-3 business days.
 
My order status hasn't change (Processing) but the charge is appearing as 'pending' on my credit card. Hopefully that means it's being built and will ship soon. I never was so happy to see a $3xxx charge on my card!

Money has been out of my account for 24 hours now and no change in status.

It's almost 10:30PM in China so... if we don't see anything soon, it may be around this time tomorrow... Mine went to pending overnight.
