27" Delivery time thread.

Well they put a hold on my funds today about 12 hours ago (checked my bank), so from the time they put the hold on your funds to the time this ship is how long?

Has anyone ordered from a reseller got any luck for an early delivery ? I ordered mine somewhere between 9:30-10:00 am on the 30th of November and I called today to get a status update on my order.

The guy said that the order hasn't moved and that he thinks that it won't come before January. Unless he doesn't have a clue, it means that a reseller that order from Apple get pushed back in the queue vs a regular customer.

Anyone in the same situation ?

I wonder if it has something to do with timely credit card verification issues. It does seem rather random.

Yesterday my base 27" with a 1Tb Fusion Drive changed to preparing for shipping, but this morning it changed back to Processing Items.
Strange.

I ordered on November 30th and my delivery date is by December 27th.

I agree. I ordered within 10 minutes of the store going live and I'm stuck at "Processing." Getting very frustrated.

Has anyone with an Estimated delivery date of 31-7 had any updates (Cancel, Button Removed, Preparing for Shipment, or Shipped??).

I'm in the same delivery window and I am still on processing items. I would like to know if anyone else in the Dec 31 - Jan 7 delivery window has had any updates.

It's def random. Apple must be somehow very sure they can get all the "2-3 week" orders out by Christmas... Because it's pretty messed up if someone who made it a point to order early ends up not getting one on time...

Apple is pretty on top of things though for the most part... I'm sure they will come on time. We just need to be patient.

Lesson Learned. Don't bother waiting up when someone like me can roll out of bed at 11am Est and order and have it shipped first.

This same thing happened with the iPhone 5. I ordered before multiple people at work and they got theirs days before I did.

Mine was scheduled from Dec 27th to Jan3 and it changed to preparing for shipping this morning at 6am. Orderd on Nov 30th approx. 8:30am

Shipped via UPS. Maybe the delivery date will update the next time it gets scanned somewhere. I originally said the 18th in the shipping confirmation email I received. When it showed up on the UPS site it listed EoD the 17th.

An update for all of us shipping on UPS and still stuck in Shanghai.

UPS hasn't had a flight from there since ours were initially scanned but Flight 80(from Louisvile to Shanghai with a stop in Anchorage is in route to Shanghai now and arrives around 11 AM Shanghai time.

Flight 81 is the returning flight to Louisville and normally leaves there around 10 PM their time. It normally arrives in Louisvile and normally arrives aRound 1 AM the next day. In this case it will be 12/13.

That would mean the deliveries could be made on 12/14.

Mine in the first batch originally shipped yesterday; just scanned "Departure scan 5:12am" in Shanghai. So hopefully they'll get on a plane in China on Wednesday..

This morning (WED 8:30am, NZDT ) when I checked the status was Preparing for Shipment.

Your iMac has been packaged and it awaiting courier pick-up. It is only 6:25am in Shanghai, so give them a bit more time. They work hard already.

My iMac left shanghai at 512am December 12th local time. It still says December 17th delivery time. Was originally December 18th.

Feel bad for those who ordered at beginning. I ordered at 6am November 30th eastern time.
