WHAT GIVES? I'M FEELING ABANDONED AND LONELY.

IS THERE ANYBODY ELSE OUT THERE FROM NOV 30 WHO HAS NOT GOTTEN PAST "PROCESSING ITEMS?"

Trust me, you're anything but alone. Ordered 3.2 I5 on Nov 30th at 8:30 EST and still no movement. They did put the credit card hold against my account on the 10th. Just to get my hopes up. Sick puppies.....

Our tracking info is identical!

Where are you located? If you're in the Northeast (or I guess any northern or western state), I'm guessing the reason they didn't ship today is because they didn't get to the 7:51AM EST flight (FDX28) on time. The ones that shipped via FDX90 (10:22AM EST) go straight to Tennessee. This would probably not make sense unless you live in a southern or middle state.

If it gets onto FDX28 tomorrow morning, it can get to Alaska by 4PM, and then catch a connecting flight to somewhere in the US closest to you. In my case, that would most likely be Newark, NJ (flight from Alaska at 8:00PM EST Friday landing in Newark at 2AM EST Saturday). But since it is weekday delivery only, Monday seems accurate, unfortunately.

I live in Cincinnati, OH so Nashville would work out nicely I think.

Me too!

Here I am still in "Processing Items" status. My particulars are
Ordered online at 7:30am on November 30 from St. Louis MO...
27-inch iMac
Available to ship: 2 - 3 Weeks
Delivers Dec 24 - Dec 31 by Standard Shipping
3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB GDDR5

Called and got shipping changed to 2-3 day Business Days

Everybody seems to be getting their iMac or are tracking it in UPS/FecEx.

I feel your pain. I ordered at 6:45am CST in Missouri and I'm still stuck at "Processing items". Exact same config as you and Apple's estimated delivery dates are the same as well. Haven't called to get shipping changed yet. I'm tempted though.

So, while we're just sitting around, what do you guys primarily use your computers for? Casual internet/word processing/etc? Gaming? Photo/video/audio editing? Research? Finance?

As my sn implies, I primarily do work in music - in Logic Pro with tons of plugins. I actually have the rest of my rig set up, and can't wait to switch from my 2008 MacBook (which got me through college) to the 27" iMac. However, with a nicer system, I'm also hoping to do some gaming - finally check out Portal 2 and Assassin's Creed. Maybe Guild Wars?

What about you?

Those of you with standard UPS shipping to Toronto, what kind of travel pattern has your iMac taken?

"The migratory pattern of the Mac has long been studied... traveling south for the winter, the Mac tend to stay in the flock. Older, less capable members are often left behind. The leader of the flock is always the Mac with the biggest wingspan, able to signal the way to the rest of the flock."

Update!

My iMac has shipped via Fedex. Status was "preparing" for about 20 hours; when I just checked I had a shipping email at 4:03AM (PDT). The email said delivery on December 18, but the tracking shows delivery by 10:30AM on December 17! Since some of you have gotten free items, I think I will call to see if I can get a Super Drive claiming that I didn't know the drive was eliminated.

Let me know how that turns out! haha

Haha, very clever :)

We're lucky Apple doesn't ship by US Postal Service. Ordered 16gb of memory from OWC over a week ago and it just reached Maryland today from Chicago. I could have walked it faster.

Yup, my tracking says: FedEx International Priority

Looking up rates and transit times (Shipping on Dec. 13) on the FedEx site, it says:

Fri Dec 14, 2012 10:30 AM FedEx International Priority® 3265.49

$3000+?!?! Apple must have a really good contract with FedEx! I'm not sure if mine will get here tomorrow though, as the last activity is:

10:00 pm At local FedEx facility SHANGHAI CN

Looks like I may have missed the flight and will be sitting til tomorrow (which means delivery on Monday) :(

A couple of data points, just to ease your anxiety . . .

My FedEx shipment had four data tracing points in Shanghai, 1) Pick up, 2) Shipmnt Info Sent, 3) Left FedEx origin Facility, 4) Intl Shpmt release Import. The next data trace was "Arrived at FedEx location" Memphis.

It made the FDX90 flight the night it posted those four Shanghai tracing points.

It seems that all those who received a package the next day had tracking history similar to yours.... The difference with mine is that it went to a local FedEx facility instead of "Intl Shpmt release Import" which I believe is customs... This tells me that I missed the cutoff. Hopefully I'll see the Shipment Release tomorrow morning :):

Looks like ours are sitting together. They should play some Battlefield 3 or something to pass the time.
