I really don´t understand why I have such a silly delivery date. You live in denmark, I live in Norway. My was shipped on thursday and still it says 4th of january as delivery day (on the tracking page). Doesn´t make sense that it should use 2 WEEKS MORE from Denmark to Norway?????

And btw its pretty easy to get around in Denmark, its not a big country and there is big roads to almost every town. Shipping in Denmark from our national delivery company is 1-2 days. There are mountains in Norway, and not big roads everywhere. If you live near the capital, maybe it will ship sooner. Just guessing. When did you place your order?

I placed my order 10 mins after it was available and it shipped on Thursday. I live in Oslo, so it's 30 mins away for the airport and its the capital as I'm sure you know. So yeah unless they are taking the iMac on a trip up the mountains first it shouldn't be much harder than anywhere in Denmark.

Ok, that sounds wierd... :I
I placed mine 12 hours after you could order.

It's the Norwegian government 'happy tax' like on Cars and Beer etc.. you shouldn't be allowed such a sexy computer so they are delaying the delivery:D

typisk Norge! men vi skal ta EM i morgen i handball!!!

As someone else mentioned I'm kind of worried that mine won't ship in time to take advantage of the Barclays financing. I tried ordering about 3:30 am PST on Nov 30, but had a problem with the Barclays card that I didn't get straightened out till 8:30 pm on Nov. 30. That left me with an estimated delivery time of Dec 31 - Jan 7. This could be cutting it close to get financing which is not that big a deal I guess, but very irritating.

I guess that's because they don't bill your card till it ships? but I wonder if you contact Apple and request they process your payment early it should be no problem! At the end of the day they don't bill you till it ships for the customers benifit but there is no reson why they cannot bill you if you request it apart from that someone at apple customer service will have to change your billing process etc.

Mine is "Processing" but the charge has gone thru to the CC so they are billing prior to shipment for sure, in fact prior to construction if the status page is accurate.

So purhaps it depends on what country you have ordered from, i'm pretty sure here in the UK Apple dont charge your card untill shipping.

Originally my order was Dec-31-Jan 7 but I called and they moved it to Dec 28-Jan4 via next day shipping by noon. Hoping it possibly will ship sooner than that.

It was BTO -
•3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
•16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X8GB
•1TB Fusion Drive
•NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5

I've called Apple hotline and waited for long, end up with disappointment that it can't be expedite as it's a BTO. Excused given was all units have to go through AGENCY(ref to local Infocomm Agency) approval before ship...... thus can't produce in large qty. <<Lame>>
Moreover, its shipping to Singapore. at MAX 5hours flight time!

Mine is still processing and when I called Apple they told me the same that it's BTO and that's why it takes so much time.

Exactly same spec as mine.

It's obvious though. You got MY computer. How can Apple make such a mistake. Boo hoo!

Enjoy mate. Can't wait to get my hands on mine. Let us know on thermals if you can because that is my only concern

Thanks! I honestly started to wonder if I would ever see something besides "Processing"

Mountain Time Zone. I actually did the math wrong though, because I ordered at 11am Mountain Time, which would be 10am PST, not noon.

I am in the Dec 31-Jan 7 delivery timeframe and today (Sunday) my order just changed to "preparing for shipment". I have been working on a 5 year old PC that I converted to a Hackintosh.....needless to say I am dying to get my first Mac desktop. The ol' hackintosh is showing its age :)

Ordered before noon on Nov 30th.

Has anyone who ordered after the first day (i.e. in December) gone to prepare for shipment? I'm wondering if the company has begun second, third, and fourth day orders (I'm a fourth dayer, with an estimate shipping date of December 28-January 4).

I've ordered on Dec 3rd and it has just changed for Preparing for shipment :D:D

I can't access the Apple Store tracking page due to overloaded servers. But I called the 800 number and it's still processing, and I ordered on Dec 1. I feel like one of the people in the 5 minute club who ordered in the first 5 minutes, yet people after them are having their orders shipped out while their orders are still processing.
