If that happens Im selling all my Apple gear and switching to Linux on a Sony.

We already know it's iMacs, Mac Pro and Apple displays getting the refresh. :rolleyes: I can't believe people are still doubting even when the store goes down as Gruber said it would last night.

It's happened before. You weren't there when every Tuesday was "MBP refresh coming!" and everytime the store was down, it was Heart Attack fest '10 and then it would come back up with... Aperture 3.0.

The lulz were great.

You do now about iPhone 4 being available in many new countries as of July 30th right ? Don't go knocking the pre-order hypothesis! Hope for the best, expect the worst. We don't know until it's back up. Chill, go make coffee and breakfeast and when you come back, we'll all know.
 
My boss just paid me, so if they do update it, Apple is getting my money tomorrow morning.

Though, I swear that these Apple store downages are just a partnership agreement somebody at IT and Arn have, to drive hype up on these forums.

I hope for a huge Macpro update, including HUGE price drop (not happening, anyway..). But do not hope for a big iMac update. Cause I have a 27" i7 in front of me and would be very very jealous if updates like USB 3.0, HDMI, (processor power is not a concern cause they will not do better then my i7 xD), or even a huge leap in Graphics.. Yah.. I'm a bit selfish.

Just Kidding, I wish the best for Apple future, so no problem for me with the iMac update. (Bluray is the one-thing that would piss me off lol)

iMac update won't be anything big. Expect international price increases, nVidia 320M to replace the 9400M and maybe a step up on the GHZ side with some added RAM to base configurations.

Otherwise, same case, same displays, same ports. They just redid the thing back in November.

What are you expecting to buy ? On my part, desktops don't really interest me, displays from Apple are usually overpriced for what they give you. The magical trackpad might have been a something I would have gotten, but I have a Bamboo Pen&Touch at home and I still prefer to use my mouse while at the desk.

I'm still on an eMac remember? I want to get an i5 27" but I knew that Apple might be updating soon so Ive been holding out.

I don't like Laptops, but oddly enough the iPad just seems to tickle me on the inside.

You think they will go above 4GB RAM? That is what is in all the base configs. And it is well overdue for an update, 9 months is a long time in the IT world.

You can already BTO over 4GB ram. But with the price of RAM as it is for 4 GB modules, I'd doubt you'd see it in the base configurations.
