Thats not a 3G S only thing. I have the regular 3G and mine shows the battery percentage. It just appeared so im not sure how to enable/disable it.
I've noticed some bugs which may well be localised to my iPhone:
- WiFi Auto-login doesn't work
- Autofill doesn't extend to pages that require a username and password to view the page
- Unlock screen only displays song title, not artist nor album
- Not yet made a call on 3G that didn't fail
I'm pretty sure you have to double-click the home button to see the rest of the info. I believe this is a feature, not a bug.
Speakerphone issue
Anybody else have this? When I put someone on Speakerphone, then put them back to the ear speaker, the ear speaker doesn't work. If I put them back on speakerphone it's fine, but back to the ear speaker again doesn't work. The ear speaker of course works when I first answer the call.
This happens consistently, and only after I updated.

I will reiterate this bug too. What kind of email account is it? POP3 or IMAP?
I have found that it does this with my POP3 account but not with the IMAP one. And if you click on the email that doesn't exist in spotlight search it takes you to the email app and then crashes it.
its a pop3 account and it brings up the email and i can read it...it don't crash.
Yea mine was a POP3 too, like I said having all IMAP seems to solve that problem, but still very annoying. For me when I clicked on those emails in the spotlight search it would open Mail but then freeze since obviously the message was deleted. I hope they fix this, I have a POP3 account I would like on the phone.
Bug with Shuffling Podcasts
Here's one bug I've found. Anybody else seeing this? (I'll admit my use case is probably odd.)
Basically, if you unclick the "Skip while shuffling" option in iTunes on podcasts, and then try in the iPod app on the iPhone to shuffle a playlist that includes podcasts, then as you listen once the shuffling tries to go to an audio podcast then depending on the playlist, the podcast will play for a few seconds, then either the iPod app will crash completely, or it will switch to playing something else. (This only happens on audio podcasts, not video.)
This all worked fine before the 3.0 upgrade.

1) I feel like some of the programs' scrolling is different. Mail feels less fluid and the list view in calendar is horrible. It stuttors and skips. Not cool.
2) upon turning the device on, after the apple logo I get a black screen for a short while that was never there before. It used to go from apple logo to unlock screen.
3) while on the phone, I get a click or chirp every 15-30 seconds that also was never there. Tried restarting to no avail. It sounds like a "minute minder" but I never understood the point of those so I hope it's the case.

This hasn't happened to me or anybody else i know whose gotten 3.0. Have you tried to restore and load 3.0 again? It could just be a bug from the initial upgrade.

1) Misc. app icon bugs, on my phone, Tweetdeck and Pandora took on the AIM icon, well after AIM was uninstalled. Deleted the apps, reinstalled (from the phone/appstore itself) did nothing. Deleted and installed from itunes on my macbook, icons changed back. On my girlfriends phone, many icons are just grayed out. More than 3.
2) On her phone, slider didnt work to answer the phone, when it did, the menu didnt exist. No way to put calls on hold, speakerphone, etc. Also, when people called it vibrated but did not have audible ring, phone was not on "silent".
3) General "lagginess". Sometimes my phone wont even "wake" with multiple pushes on home or power.
There are more but I'm really in the mood to play some GH metallica lol. When I remember or find more, I'll post em. I have screenshots of everything also. As a general rule, a reboot cleared up some problems. Icon switches, etc did not with a reboot. Im pretty amazed that Apple would let 3.0 out like this, with a new team working on the OS you'd think they'd be more critical of their work.

I have the same problem, only a little different. I can put in something that is a block away, and it will tell me it will take 4 hours. Or from San Antonio to Houston was 3 days 9 hours (a 3 hour drive). The apple store didn't know what to do or anything about it... So that leaves me a little bit confused at what to do!

2 bugs I've noticed:
The battery icon says the battery is fully charged, but when I disconnect it can be anywhere from nearly full to red.
After reading a new email (only seems to be my me.com account), I close the app. But when I receive a another new email, I go back into Mail and the initial email is listed as the 3rd. When I press the arrow up button, the body of 2nd email is also the initial email. Has this happened to anyone?

I am too lazy to go back and see if anyone else is having these issues, but both my wife and myself are using original 2G iPhones with jailbroken 3.0.
The phone is buggy. I will answer a call and the person can't hear me and I can't hear them. Same thing happens on my wife's iPhone. A restart fixes this issue, but it happens very frequently.
I am also getting a lot of sound bugs. My sound output will drop to being very low, even though the volume is cranked up all the way. Again, a restart fixes this issue as well.
