I was in the "Voice Memos" app, and it had froze. I tried pressing the home screen button repeatedly, and it would not budge. I then pressed the lock button, and after a few seconds, it locked. I woke it up and this is what I found....

are you jailbroken on 3.0?

nope, just normal. im guessign your asking because of the percentage for my battery. Well, I jailbroke on 2.1, and a little later, went back to normal. Somehow, the code for the percentage stuck with me and i now have it all the time. But it is NOT jailbroken.

I had that happen too. It is like it makes the Voice Memos UI your home screen lol. The voice memos app is severely bug ridden!

So I heard on here that Apple will eventually release a new beta of iPhone 3.0 to devs with bug fixes like they do with Mac OS X. Is that how it works? And if so when and how many new betas do you think we could see before it is released in the summer? Anyones have any insight? Thanks! :)

Yeah absolutely, very buggy! And yes, Apple will release several new Betas (from past action) before the final 3.0 this Summer. Last year for 2.0, I believe there were 6 betas? (if I'm wrong, please correct me)

i'm definitely going to try to redo mine as a new phone to correct some issues that i've seen in here such as the alarm clock and iPod issues. Has anyone had an issue with the Maps? I opened mine and looked up directions to somewhere 5 miles from where I was and it said I was 35 miles away. Does anyone know if this can be corrected by setting up as a new phone? This is the only bug that disturbs me.

When you click on record in the Voice Memo app it makes the sound of taking a picture.

In twitteriffic when you double tap the app crashes.

Messages and iPod icons are choppy when squirming

since when is there a percentage for the battery???

I'm running 3.0 GM and the left edge of my screen does not work. Meaning I cannot type "1"s at all (I have to paste one whenever I need to use it) and I cannot rearrange my homescreen by dragging icons to the left edge. It's very weird, and irritating.

I got my GM firmware from a torrent site but I'm afraid if I go into an apple store they won't service me. Is that true? Or is there something else I can tell them to get genius help?

Thanks.

Battery indicator

I keep my phone plugged in all night so it's fresh in the morning. By the time I go to bed the next day, I'm usually around 40% on the battery.

Yesterday evening I was using Safari a little more than normal and was expecting to get the 20% warning very soon. I looked at the battery meter and it showed full. I closed Safari and back on the home screen the battery still showed full.

I restarted the phone and as soon as it was back on the batter meter was low and I got the 20% warning. Not sure why the meter showed full before the restart but that's a little concerning. If the indicator is not accurate, some may end up with dead batteries unexpectedly. Hopefully this was just a freak occurrence.

This is actually a pretty common bug and happened even before 3.0. It's a bit irritating but if you're using your phone extensively and it's still showing 100% you should be able to guess that it's not accurate.

All I wanted for Christmas was my Bluetooth to work

I waited patiently for the release of the 3.0 software in hopes that the problem of bluetooth pairing with my iPhone 3G to my Garmin 765T GPS would be resolved. Well guess what ... it's not!

Two of the biggest names in their respective industries and they can't get a simple process like bluetooth pairing to work!

In fact, Apple went backwards with this release. Whereas I could manually pair the two devices under the 3.n software, that connection now breaks as soon as I set it up under 3.0. What a dissapointment!

Huge flaw.

I have found a bug in every app using your contacts either for email or phone number.

If you use the sync to google to get your contacts. Every single app that tries to access a contact that is synced with google will crash. I tried with truphone, skype, quickpigeon and incoming. All of them crash when I choose a contact that is on the google contacts. It will not crash if the contact is in the Iphone itself.

Mail bug

The icon in my dock keeps showing the wrong number of messages. Also, when I click on the mail app, if I had left the app in the inbox, i have to go back out and then back in to get new emails. Anybody else?

Not sure if it's been mentioned but there is a bug in SMS when you go into landscape mode - the chat bubbles stay the size they would in portrait which makes it quite hard to read any entries that are more than 2 lines long...

Yeah, I noticed that too, its much easier reading texts in portrait, hopefully this will get fixed.

+1. I left feedback for apple on the site in my sig. Please do the same so they know people want the change!

Anyone havine wifi connection issues after upgrading. The phone says it's connected in settings but show no ip or any other info and no wifi bars.

Iphone 3.0 Spotlight bug

Just found this bug. Didn't see it listed

if you go to spotlight and type in lets just say facebook,

It shows the app but also all emails from facebook show up. My inbox is empty, as so with sent and trash, no emails on the iPhone. Yet all emails sent to me from facebook show up and the content of the emails.

so where are these emails stored and how can i delete them from spotlight search?

I've noticed some bugs which may well be localised to my iPhone:

- WiFi Auto-login doesn't work
- Autofill doesn't extend to pages that require a username and password to view the page
- Unlock screen only displays song title, not artist nor album

- Not yet made a call on 3G that didn't fail
