Nope and I don't understand your 2nd question.

I mean, if we someone sends us an email with an mp3 attached or we download an mp3 from the internet (not from iTunes), can we then directly add it into our iPod song library, instead of having to add that song via syncing with iTunes? My back-up times lately have been close to 10 minutes. Adding songs via syncing with iTunes has become too cumbersome.

As far as the current beta 3.0 you CAN NOT change which calendar an appointment is on, once it has been created. You can of course select the calendar when you are first creating the entry.

Thanks. It is quite puzzling that the issue hasn't been resolved.

In the current OS if you type in a phone number using the phone app's Key Pad while on a call, you lose that number once the call ends. No way to add it as a new contact.

Has this been fixed?

You're breaking a legal contract, but heh you don't seem to care you massive rebel :\ I don't agree with this.

It's a shame that Apple releases the OS and all the tools to everybody for a yet-unreleased product and people like you go and just abuse that. Sure they make a shed-load of cash from the App Store, but 3.0 is meant to be a big thing; not a huge leak months before it's even available for all and on potentially revamped hardware. Once again, I doubt you care. Big wow.

I'm a developer and would actually prefer it if Apple just kept everything hush hush until the release date when people just go ahead and leak everything - even if it means not having an app ready for the new OS upon launch.

:D

Actually it does indeed work; you need to setup the MMS stuff both on the device itself and your network.

I don't see the big deal. A very relatively small percentage of iphoners are going to see this. It will still be a new thing for 99.9% of buyers

Not seen this posted anywhere, the fact that iphone is now an option in phone type when adding / amending a contact

This could have to do with iChat being brought to the iPhone... Think about it, if the contact has an "iPhone" number than you can video chat if they have the newest iPhone. Other possibilities could be added as well. Just a thought

^ 3.0 is just an update, like 2.0 I don't think there will be a new device released?

Wow, these kids are coming out of woods so they can be cool for 3 seconds.

lol :D

Landscape Texting is what I am looking forward too, Copy, Cut and Paste will be great as well.

Was this sarcasm or did you really just realize this? This is a great thing though... free for all iPhone 3G users... pretty awesome.

I really just realised this - I was just saying on a different forum last week when I heard about 'iPhone 3.0' that I was peeved because I wanted copy n paste, but didn't want to buy a third iPhone :D

I should come here more often instead of glancing at headlines

I didn't mean to sound as though I was insulting you, but yea, you should def check out MR and the forums a little more, it helps with knowing a lot more than the average Engadget reader.

Oh no probs at all, was expecting worse posting something so silly on a well clued in forum :D

Of course, new hardware is extremely, extremely likely as well. Also, the feature that you quoted does not appear to be in 3.0 (deleting individual missed calls). I understand you probably quoted it as joke, I am just clarifying.
