I don't understand what you mean. You can delete one or SMS messages in the Messages app but I don't understand what you mean by the call list?

If you press the home button one time it will take you to the first home screen and if you press the button twice it will take you to Spotlight.

This used to take you to favourite contacts. If you're on the second home screen do you need to press the home button once, and then a quick double tap to access favourites?

you customize what the double click of the home button does.... the options are Home, Search (spotlight), Phone Favorites, Camera, iPod

I believe Search is the default when set up as a new phone, but it's easily changed to any of those options.

I have it set up to do the phone favorites and it operates just as it did in 2.2.1 when I double click the home button

it's a setting. you can goto settings on your current firmware and make that goto iPod or favorites

That feature is still inactive (hidden). It was discovered in plist files, then hacked to turn it on.

It blows my mind how many people come right out and say, "Please I NEED a free tethering option immediately."

Ridiculous.

Yes I NEED a tethering option. Infact I'm writing this message through my tethered phone right now. And it's not free, i had to pay for the app which should have been built into iPhone OS from version 1.0.

Clearly you think this is Ridiculous since you have not yet found the need to tether, but beleive me .... when you need it to get access to your email and internet, you will think differently.

Can't you just use the revolutionary iPhone to access the internet and email, without using it to tether.

Well yes i could use it for internet, but for two hours of internet usage everyday, it would be very tidious. Also, i like to browse the internet while i work (and talk on IM apps), so this wouldn't be very productive if i keep switching between my laptop and my phone. And the multitasking functionalty isn't the best on the iPhone so ....

Don't get me wrong ... i love my iPhone, and laugh at people with BB's or Windows Mobile phones, but I'm not a fanboy and know the limitations of my phone and have learned how to eliminate them (jailbreaking)

I think what Baloo was trying to get at with deleting calls was:

when you go to Recents in the Phone app, can you delete phone calls like you delete messages in the Messages app.
