Nice taste in music.
How does BeejiveIM run?

It's okay...not perfect. When you try to delete a chat from the chats tab it crashes the whole app. That's the only thing I've noticed so far, but I don't use it that much so there might be other issues.

they're showing that it now shows the song title, artist, and album instead of just the song title

You're breaking a legal contract, but heh you don't seem to care you massive rebel :\ I don't agree with this.

It's a shame that Apple releases the OS and all the tools to everybody for a yet-unreleased product and people like you go and just abuse that. Sure they make a shed-load of cash from the App Store, but 3.0 is meant to be a big thing; not a huge leak months before it's even available for all and on potentially revamped hardware. Once again, I doubt you care. Big wow.

I'm a developer and would actually prefer it if Apple just kept everything hush hush until the release date when people just go ahead and leak everything - even if it means not having an app ready for the new OS upon launch.

:D

8. MMS is not working yet.

Actually it does indeed work; you need to setup the MMS stuff both on the device itself and your network.

I understand what you mean. I just don't agree with the way Apple handles these things. They should either let everyone beta test it or let no one beta test. Apple knew that most people that don't know how to write one line of code would pay the 100 bucks just to play around with the beta. This is pretty much a public beta.

MMS was not working at the time that I wrote that post.

Showing/releasing firmware 3.0 this month was all about Apple's marketing hype model. Why else would they have hosted a media event? They could have just quietly seeded the release to certain developers. Or, just planned to release 3.0 in June to everyone and then let the developers port their apps at that time. But, no, they hosted a media event and released it to everyone and their sister. The result? Nothing but positive responses and praise. It is due to people like the OP, 3.0 is being regarded as a revolutionary development for the iPhone and being hyped to no tomorrow. The Pre what??? I doubt Apple would disagree with what is going on here. After all, their the ones would set this into motion.

So hurt the iPhone users with a bunch of unusable apps just so a few minor secrets about a software update don't come out? Sounds like a great idea.

yup. Apple counts on people to leak photos and info about 'secrets'. What better way to drive up interest than to keep the details private? I love how worked up people here get about private contracts they are not party to.

Actually, rereading my post, it was a little rude. Sorry about that. Here, have a smiley :)

Change Calendar on 3.0 - still a no-go

In the Calendar app (2.2.1.) you cannot MODIFY which calendar an event is on once the event has been created. Has this [bug] been rectified?

As far as the current beta 3.0 you CAN NOT change which calendar an appointment is on, once it has been created. You can of course select the calendar when you are first creating the entry.

Man, people really get rubbed the wrong way with this stuff.

Its the nature of the beast, no point trying to fight it. If the OP didn't post this stuff, someone else would've, and so on.

That being said, thanks for the pics, things are looking good!

Didn't Microsoft just do the same thing with Windows 6.5, are they also hyping it to be a revolutionary development?

gillilandboy,
thx for the screenshot..
i have 1 more Q plz..
is it possible to copy a number from "Recent calls"?? i mean what happens if you put your finger down and hold it on a number in "Recent calls"??

Gillilanboy,

I have two quick questions if you don't mind. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere and I really want this feature, but does 3.0 have a common area for files (doc, txt, ppt, etc,) like it does for photos?

And can we add mp3s to out iPod library directly on the iPhone (without having to sync it to iTunes)?

Nope and I don't understand your 2nd question.
