Aren't the default frequencies 450/950 for that GPU? That's some pretty serious overclocking! I've also got my CPU overclocked to 300 MHz FSB for a total of 2.85 GHz. You can probably do the same without a hitch...
Sorry I didn't react before. Here's the nvao.inf
Note to others: if you attach the relevant strings below to a nv_disp.inf or nv4_disp.inf, you should be able to use any driver with your video card with the "have-disk" method through device manager.
nvao.inf relevant strings: (the first was mine..)
NVIDIA_DEV.08A0.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 320M"
NVIDIA_DEV.08A0.02 = "NVIDIA GeForce 320M "
NVIDIA_DEV.08A0.03 = "NVIDIA GeForce 320M "
NVIDIA_DEV.08A0.04 = "NVIDIA GeForce 320M "

NVIDIA_DEV.08A4.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 320M "
NVIDIA_DEV.08A4.02 = "NVIDIA GeForce 320M "
Is it smart to run lubbos fan and have the lid closed or should it always be open?
What overclock frequencies have you finalized for the 320M using the Boot Camp drivers?
Core Clock: 706Mhz
Shader: 1309Mhz
Everything runs great. Bootcamp nvidia driver 196.81 (I think it was .81)
Are there newer official drivers out there I might use, ssn637??
And do you know reasons as to why my ntools config does not allow FSB tweaking?! I am totally clueless in that regard![]()

Wow, that's pretty impressive! I don't know if I'd take them that high...but so long as temperatures are under control then why not? When I try to push the 9400M that hard I end up with the dreaded "your system has recovered from a serious graphics problem" message after frequent blackouts.
There are no official NVidia drivers available which support the 320M GPU, at least not yet.
I don't know why the option to modify the CPU FSB settings isn't available, but when I receive the new model I'll verify it for you. Seems a bit strange since it's the same CPU family as the mid-2009 MBP.
Underclocking is only possible, as far as I know, in the Mac OS X operating system. I use CoolBook V2.17 for this and it works quite well, although someone reported having problems with the 2010 models.
why do people still use 3dmark06 for benchmarks? it is completely outdated, it does not really test your gpu all that much anymore with today's hardware. Vantage is where it is at for gpu testing just make sure you disable PhysX. your 5300 gpu score in 06 will probably drop to somewhere around 2 to 3k in vantage as it tests todays hardware better.
I'd love to see some GPU-Z action.
32:8:x isn't what I wanted to see. I suspect it's a problem with GPU-Z instead of the MCP89 being a GT218 part. That would mean it's much more like the GeForce 210/310M.
Finally installed Battlefield Bad Company 2 and I am very impressed with this integrated card.
With AA/AF at 1x, high detail, low shadow, medium for everything else I am getting very fluid, smooth framerates in multi-player (at native resolution).
I haven't' tweaked the game's config file yet, nor have I shut down any Win 7 services so I expect I can squeeze a bit more out.
I'll be doing some FRAPS testing later today but I am surprised that the experience is so smooth. I played the same game on my M11x (335GT, SU7300) and it was very difficult to tell which machine was better.
I have a digital copy of Mass Effect 2 waiting in the wings so I'll be posting some thoughts, fps specs on that game as well.
