If you're a MyChoice member you could have them hold it or even bump up the delivery time-frame, granted he was an hour before the scheduled, but if you setup the time-frame to be much later in the day (say 3-8pm), maybe that would help?

All those options are available to MyChoice members, I use it a lot for UPS deliveries, because well, UPS sucks and using MyChoice helps negate the suckage.

Now FedEx, I'm pleasantly surprised about, my last package delivered by FedEx to me, had my phone number on it, I was not home to sign for it, so the driver called me and asked if he could get my approval to leave the package at the door even though it needed to be signed. I've never had that happen, but I'll be damned if I wasn't happy as hell it did, as I had been waiting 9 weeks for that package (a set of custom IEM's).

Just updated to shipped! Nothing on UPS yet, but very hopeful to have it tomorrow!

There's a UPS CC location about 15 minutes from my house. When I got my tracking number yesterday, I had UPS hold at this CC and picked it up at 8am this morning. Otherwise, the driver in my neighborhood doesn't deliver until after 5pm usually. Would this be an option?

I did the same thing- UPS CC is literally a mile away in an industrial complex near my home. I had it in my hands at 08:15 this morning.

FWIW-

The 38 mm size is quite nicely sized. The larger strap the comes with it works perfectly (this wasn't an option during try-on). I am about 6 ft 200 lbs and it looks very proportionate to my size.

I am at work. The wife watches kids from home. She went down the street to a neighbor's house for the kids to play.

The scheduled window began at 1:45. They are NEVER in our neighborhood before 4pm. How would I have known that he was arriving an hour before the window?
 
Seems like I won't get lucky and see some movement for another week :(
I'm starting to doubt I'll get my watch before mid May..

Apple Finds Defects in Watch

Just saw the headlines about this. I hope that Apple factored in these problems when setting the shipping dates. I've been burned by Apple on several 1st gen products with defects. I hope that they know how to fix this one before shipping.

You can also have it delivered to a UPS store near you at n/c as a MC member. Then p/u when ever you like. No need to sit around the house hoping they don't come the second you briefly stepped out.
 
Just shipped with DHL express germany.
Ordered +1 hour after preorder start.

Ordered a milanese today too. Cant decide which one to keep then

You ordered a 38 mm space gray Apple Watch one hour after the preorders started and it's in delivery already? That would be very strange. But good for you! :)
 
Actually the strangest part is that it says delivery after 20th may. I got the tracking number which is not working yet

This is crazy! :) But it makes me wonder if my 9:54 order to Germany will be delivered soon. ;-)

I'm sure it will start back up soon enough after the early morning charges hit peoples accounts. I can only hope I see mine get charged :rolleyes:

I would like to say I'm hopeful, but I'm not, other xx:06 have had theirs shipped, but some xx:05:xx and xx:04:xx haven't, being in the xx:06 range, who the hell knows.
 
I wish they'd do better to update the most loyal customers, many of whom stayed up until the middle of the night to order their product. Hopefully they stay on the schedule they sent and finally start shipping these in quantity.

In this regard Apple has already told us what to expect. It gave us delivery time ranges and also said there won't be AW for sale in Apple retail until June. Tie that in with shipping times here and also yesterday's confirmation that there was a production issue and I think we have all the info we need.

It seems Apple is running maybe slightly ahead of it's shipping ranges. I would guess the majority of orders are in the 4 to 10 minutes range after the store opened so we are still in a bottleneck are. Based on the data at MR it looks like most of 5 min has shipped and working on 6 minutes. I think next week will be the week when the remaining early orders (up to 10 min after preorder started) get pushed out.
