That's dirt cheap...Sure...No 3D touch and smaller screen but WOW
$250 dollars less? What's the catch?

I know, I was thinking the same thing. Only other thing I noticed was that the wireless speeds were slower, but still better than 5S. There is also potential for graphics to be better than 6S since the A9 is driving a lower resolution, although they probably reduced the clock speed to match and save battery.

Didn't he say that 64GB was $100 more?

EDIT: I'm totally shocked too. Turns out my new 4inch iPhone is gonna cost much less than I thought.

$499 for the 64gb. I am shocked. I thought it would start at $550 for the 16gb.

So the $399/$499 are the buy-outright, no contract prices? Awesome.

yeah, outright prices. The only thing missing is 3D touch. 1gb vs 2gb will be unknown until a tear down.

That's a stupid good price for what's basically the 5s (best design IMHO) with 6s internals and camera. Now I know what to replace my wife's 5s with when it dies in a couple years!

If that's true then I feel really sorry for everyone who is selling a used 5s this year. The secondary market is about to get destroyed.

    $500 for 64gb. My 64gb 5s was $750 in 2013.

He's 90% sure he'll buy it, if it has 2GB.

Again, the waiting begins for countries not in the first-wave list. Sigh.

I am wanting this thing now! Trading DOWN from a 6 Plus when I realized the large phone form factor is not for me at all!

I'm floored by them pricing at $399. That's an extremely aggressive price for Apple especially with it being almost identical to the 6s in specs.

This is exactly what I was hoping for. A 5S chassis with 6S internals for a sensible price.

    Sold.

Nothing about this device screams 'premium'. First of all it is way too cheap - now anyone can buy one. I don't like that at all, it is very non-Apple catering to the casual consumer.

It will be a great little phone as a keeper or as a second one for that price of $399.00. Hope it will have 2 GB.

Not just for people selling a 5S. The secondary market is about to be destroyed for everyone. You can get a brand new iPhone for $399! I feel like my perfect condition 6S will take a huge hit.
