I didn't think I would use 3dTouch as much on the 6sPlus, but man I love it! I'm ready for the iPhone 7 without a home button!

I actually thought it was a gimmick when the 6s was introduced (similiar to Live Photos). However, now that I have a 6s, I find that I'm using it more than I thought I would.

I find it pretty handy when I have to move the cursor around in text. Probably my favorite use although I use it for switching between apps pretty frequently. I've only double-tapped my home button a couple of times out of habit since getting my 6s.

I don't do a lot of Shazaming but using the 3D Touch shortcut for that is way faster than opening the app and hitting the button after waiting for it to load the feed.

For me, I would rather waiting for all devices are force touch ready, and go upgrade all of them in a bunch.

Hardware feature inconsistency is intolerable for me, especially for this 3D Touch.

However, haptic feedback is really bad. Wait, I should have mentioned this somewhere.

Hardware feature incompatibility/inconsistency is a fact of life across all manufacturers in this day and age.

I happen to like the haptic feedback and would want it in more places.

I used it a few times in the first few days and after that i turned it off. I don't really see the point of it.
I did the same with other "S" features on the previous iphones like Siri and TouchID.

We could expect Apple apply haptic engine on all devices, right? So iPads iPhones and Apple watches could all get haptic feedback. And if iPod could get it after years, that would be really great.

The ipad pro should get haptic feedback and all the latest stuff that's in the 6s; plus some.

I never use Siri or Touch ID either. Strange what some folk class as essential/inessential isn't it. I do use 3D Touch here and there though.

In my opinion it's still kinda wonky and the amount of pressure you need to apply to use it takes some time getting used too since we're just now getting it. But it's pretty nifty overall.

Got an iphone 6S plus and I'm finding I hardly ever use 3D Touch.

Talking to 2 friends with the same phone and like me they never use it.

On messages it's a farce. God knows which contact will appear when you use the app.

Mail. Don't see where it saves time.

Contacts. Useless.

Twitter. No speed saving.

WhatsApp. What's the point?

I could go on and on but for me I really don't get this feature at all.

Whats the purpose of this thread?

You don't use a feature. So what. Big deal. Turn it off. Who cares. Do you really need that much attention that you have to broadcast it to the world? What next? Are you going to say you don't use AppleMaps?

Buddy - it's called discussion. Why not close the entire forum down and just get on with life?

Well buddy who cares what feature you use or not? Whats your motivation making this thread? How is this helping or benefiting anyone?

Big deal. If everyone did the same as you we would have DOZENS of threads about "hey I don't use Apple maps", "hey I don't use Safari", "hey I don't use TouchID". who the hell cares.

This is like a guy in a car forum saying he never uses the cup holders. Who the *** cares.

Every time Apple introduced a new hardware feature troll post like this pops up. I remember seeing many threads about TouchID being useless. I guess I should post a new thread called "4K video - Never use it" must be crap.

exactly. This is most definitely a troll post. If there is a feature you don't use who cares? Everyone uses their phone differently. Yet they have to make a whole thread bashing the new feature.

I use it for the task switcher and in Mesaages to peek at the message without it being marked as Read. I like to use it in photos as well.

This. I wish Apple would add a "mark as unread" to texts/iMessages, but they won't for some reason. Being able to Peek into a text/iMessage and reading the entire new message without marking it as read is HUGE.

Pathetic mate.

My house is like an apple showroom. Get your facts right before you go spouting nonsense.

Touch ID could have been implemented by a long press and it would work across all devices. This new force touch feature is not really a requirement for a 6S

That's my opinion. You have yours. Jog on.

No one bashed the feature. The OP just said he hasn't found a use case for him. No reason to get all butt hurt and be an ****** toward him. I use Touch 3D on occasion and can see its potential. However, I don't have my feelings so wrapped up in a slab of metal and glass that I get offended because someone questions a feature. Good grief.
