No one bashed the feature. The OP just said he hasn't found a use case for him. No reason to get all butt hurt and be an ****** toward him. I use Touch 3D on occasion and can see its potential. However, I don't have my feelings so wrapped up in a slab of metal and glass that I get offended because someone questions a feature. Good grief.

I'm not butthurt. I just think its a waste of forum space for some dude to state he doesn't use a certain feature. Who cares? Move on. I could make a thread that I don't use Apple Music or Notes. But I won't because its an absolute waste of time and benefits no one.

Pathetic mate.

My house is like an apple showroom. Get your facts right before you go spouting nonsense.

Touch ID could have been implemented by a long press and it would work across all devices. This new force touch feature is not really a requirement for a 6+

That's my opinion. You have yours. Jog on.

silly. So you want ForceTouch to be one thing on the 6s and something totally different on the older phones?

So on a 6s you force touch icons, but on the 6 you long press? Sorry dude. Apple doesn't work that way.

Clearly by the participation, the thread was useful to some discussing the feature. One would think if you were not interested, you would skip and move right along to one you were interested in. I and countless other people do that.

Buddy - it's called discussion. Why not close the entire forum down and just get on with life?

Problem is, you're not really discussing. You're just telling everyone how lousy a gimmick this is, and that their liking it is pointless. And if anyone disagrees with you you tell them to "jog on." How is that discussing and not pontificating?

They may of come across a little strong but I kinda agree with them a bit, I always see a forum as a place to find out some information or troubleshoot. Talking & starting a conversation about something I don't have an interest in, don't like or don't use (not all the above are the OP) seems a little pointless to me but hey I guess if that was the case forums wouldn't be what they are & wouldn't exist...not sure that isn't a bad thing though the way some people live on them...

Someone could start a thread:

"I bought an iPhone, I never use it"

this thread is just as useless. If you don't use a feature there is no reason to start a whole thread about it.

Not using 3D Touch or Siri I can understand, but Touch ID?

I'm obviously an oddball.:D
I just prefer to press the home button, know it will react, and type my weakling 4-digit passcode with 100% success. Plus, whether unfounded or not, I'm not totally sold on having my prints stored in a device that has internet access and iCloud.

I mostly use it for the camera app, app switcher, and keyboard cursor. I still forget what functions Force Touch will introduce with many apps.

The more I use my 6SPlus, the more I start using the 3d-touch. I thought it would be the opposite.

It learns from you - based on frequency, location, time of day. Some apps also start showing things if you are using the apps.

I find it quite nifty, useful in some, less in others. The tactile feedback it gives in various UI/UX points of the OS, including pressing in left corner to multi-task to previous app is very handy. As well as turning the keyboard into a trackpad on the phone. Not to mention to quickly msg someone or take a pic/vid etc - very nice.

Some apps just 'support it', but aren't really doing anything smart with it just yet. I think it's fair to give developers some time to see what users expect, want, wish was there, etc.

Dang, shoulda read the rest of your useless crap in this thread
What's the purpose your being on this forum, getting even cause some dude pushed ya around as a kid. Cool

Has more purpose than your post, thanks for contributing
It's all in the way it's worded. Probably a thread titled: "I tried 3D touch and don't find it that useful...what am I missing" really invites more of a discussion than: "I bought an iphone but I don't use it"; which is a little trollish.

Or if Steve Coogan were writing the OP it would say 'Touch ID. Bag o' shyte.':D

I keep forgetting about it because not all apps have it yet and my iPad and work phone don't have the capability at all. I'm sure I'll use it more when the feature becomes more ubiquitous.

When I do use it, it's almost always to activate the keyboard trackpad. Frankly, that's so good, I'd be happy with 3D Touch if that was all it did.
