Since the site wasn't up at 12:01am I tried the App and I was able to get in and complete my order at 12:03am for the 42mm Apple Watch in Stainless Steel with the Link Bracelet. My shipping timeframe is May 13th - May 27th!

Was there anyone that ordered the 42mm Apple Watch in Stainless Steel with the Link Bracelet that is getting in on launch day?

reading this makes me feel hella lucky.

At 10pm Pacific I decided to order the watch. I was working until around 11:55pm then I went downstairs, grabbed a beer and sat on my couch on my iphone.
At 12:00am the apple store app still showed that it's down. I got into the store at around 12:03am. Ordered, and they asked for my credit card security numbers. Crap. Went upstairs for my wallet, put the numbers in and wala... April 24th delivery.

42mm Space Grey Aluminium with the black sport band.

Pretty much the exact same story for me, but at 12:05am.

It seems that no one that got the link bracelet had a chance at getting a launch day estimate. Here's to hoping that they were just playing it safe with that date range!

why do the apr 24th folks feel the need to come in here and rub it in to us that they got an early date?

i don't go to the june thread and brag to them that i'm getting mine before them...

poor sportsmanship.....

i was more like emphasizing the fact that you said "INCH" lol :p

i wanted to tease him about that, too... but wasn't sure i'd get yelled at and accused of correcting his error! :p

i did wonder about how he'd wear a 42" watch on his wrist though!! lol!!!!

Will join in as well. Order 42mm space grey black sport band at 12:03. Page said apr24 but confirmation email sent at 12:04 then said May 15-28. That sucked!! But guess if that is my biggest problem I will live. Hope it does ship sooner

I over slept and didn't get to order my phone at launch. since the wait times are so long, I've decided to wait till they have things in stock. And you never know by then, they may let you start choosing different bands other than the one that comes with the watch.

I'm part of the instant gratification era and something about giving Apple 4 to $500 of money and waiting two months just doesn't sit well with me. lol

I ordered the 42mm Space Black Watch at 12:01am with an email confirmation at 12:02am saying 4-6 weeks (May 13-May 27). I used the Apple Store App and Apple Pay. I haven't seen anyone who ordered a link bracelet get a launch day shipping window. Hope this changes soon!

Did anyone's order status change? I saw someone on reddit saying some peoples have changed? Not sure for which group though.

For some reason there's a small glint of hope inside me saying we could get delivery on the 24th. But then I must face reality, and really observe that my delivery is weeks away. Sigh.

The only possible hope is if when orders start getting processed for real next week, the stock levels are sufficient.

I don't think Apple is really changing dates now for things that are non-administrative (too many orders for a household, credit card issues, package forwarders, etc.)

What happened with the 6+ was about 3-4 days after Group A got their shipping notifications, Group B started shaking loose.

The real wild card is this is the first time Apple has launched a product that the initial pre-order group had a date range. Which means either supplies are really that low, or Apple is really hedging their bets based on initial yields.
