Ordered the space grey and got May shipping date after struggling with my cc security code being scratched off..just fantastic. Really should of set up apple pay before hand ugh.

I did order the sport white band which delivers 4/24. Going to wear that for 14 days then return it and by then I should be only waiting a week for the space grey I really want.

Anybody else doing that or am I super crazy to do this?

crazy isn't how i would describe buying something to wear when you already know you're just "renting" it.

This is true. But I figured hey I get my full refund so renting for free isn't bad since they abolished the restock fee. Feel a little bad for taking the white off the market from somebody else that wanted one but sold out. But at least I'm not selling it on eBay for $600 plus I guess.

what you're doing is worse than scalping....

4-6weeks (Deliever May 13 - May 27th) pre-orders

To me this is a result of Apple's decision to make people buy these sight unseen and have super constrained inventory minutes after launch. People buy whatever they can and in as large of quantities as possible. It's a hedge against having to wait for months to get what combination they might want but wouldn't know until having a chance to try one on or even see it.

Try ons should have been offered for days or weeks before the online pre-order

i agree that try ons should have been offered ahead of time. i ordered two watches, in two different sizes. then i went to apple to try on the watches. i cancelled the one size i didn't want. i NEVER intended to wear one of the watches for two weeks then return it. it's a scummy move.

he can go to the store and see what size he wants/needs and cancel the other watch.

people like him are what cause businesses to change their return policies.

I too am worried about production issues/problems. I think this could be the reason the SS models are all behind

So I guess nobody else is doing this then? I'm not going to disagree with you it's not right however it's the system.

It's chess not checkers.

Oh geeze, not this again!

Apple isn't making ANYONE buy these without first seeing them. Everyone could wait until they saw them in the store and then place an order.

and have super constrained inventory minutes after launch.

Huh? Did you expect Apple to just create a terrible product instead so fewer people would want them right away? Or were they supposed to wait another 5 months until they had 5M units in inventory and hope that they would be able to sell so much inventory in the various permutations that they made them?

Hmm, just read through some of your other posts and to me you seem to like to troll. Not interested.

You are the one blaming Apple for making people buy the watch before seeing it. Now, that is trolling. No one is being forced to buy the watch. Stop blaming Apple.

I always tell myself I should stop checking my order status, but I can't help it... It's gonna drive me crazy if I really have to wait 3-5 more weeks!

I completely agree. I've been going to the order status page all the time. I know its not gonna change today or tomorrow, but I'll still check it.

Also, I'll probably get my sports band before the watches.

Hey newbie to the thread! I ordered 42mm space black apple watch sport! Confirmed emailed at 3:04am 3 minutes after launch and still got the 4-6 weeks message. I know I'm not the only impatient AppleFan, but at least one week ONE DAY has passed!

Does anyone else also have a May 15 - May 29 delivery date? I ordered the SS black sport band 38 version.
