Charged and preparing for shipment today
Springfield, OR

Just got charged for my husband's 42mm SS BSB (ordered 4/10, 00:30)!

No word on my 38mm black modern buckle—has ANYONE gotten one?:(

I'm an xx:06:05 42 SG BSB order in PA stuck in processing. CC has not been charged.

So for those that said there were no examples of exact models shipping before someone before them in line, here's one for sure. Lots of :07s and even some :08s shipping in the 42mm space gray threads.

The problem with the early minutes is that so many orders were placed at nearly coinciding times there was certainly a bottleneck somewhere - whether at the email servers or the orders database, it doesn't matter, the result is that the "into system" time and email confirmation time were not going to go in the same order.

It is a good sign that others with a similar (or later) time than you are getting charged - it means you will soon unless there is a problem with your payment method. Or if Tim Cook hates you. Then you're totally screwed.

Hell hath no fury

I read 2 disturbing things today. First, Angela Ahrendts was the highest paid female executive in the US this year. Second, there is a line outside Colette in Paris for the Apple watch suggesting that they continue to get replenished inventory. This is further supported by someone posting that they had bought multiple apple watches at Maxfield and sold them for profit. This sort of thing, that in my mind is counter to the original core principles of the Apple I knew, proves up that Angela Ahrendts doesn't understand the Apple customer and has that elitist Burberry bent. Has anyone ever seen a crowd in Burberry even at Christmas that rivals a typical Apple metropolitan store on an average Saturday? Angela was overpaid for underperformance.

As the Senior VP of Retail and Online Stores her job is sales. Guess what, watches are selling.

What does she have to do with supply and manufacturing, exactly?

While you have a point, let me say that you cannot sell $10 bills for $9 or $8.50.
You will run out of supply.

A good salesperson would communicate what the purchase experience will be.

If you buy a Mercedes, even at a dealership, you know what the availability will look like. Nobody woulds say "Way don't you have this model here?"

What you can do however is telling people that certain models are not available in large quantities.

Apple could have done ten things differently that everyone here might not have agreed with, but they would have worked out much better.

I'm bored to repeat them, but I can if I have to.

If you are trying to sell what you don't have, you are in trouble.

If you are trying to sell what you don't have, you are in trouble.

Lets say that while selling these $10 bills is a new market for your company, you have two of your competitors that are doing so.

One of those competitors sold about 400,000 $10 bills all of last year. The second sold that many in approximately three months.

Based on those numbers would it be it realistic to anticipate selling more than double that within the first 24 hours?

While i don't like her personality, I think you just seem mad that you don't have your watch yet. It's childish and immature to complain because other people are buying watches at stores. If you don't like they way Apple conducts business then don't buy their products. Also if you feel you have been wronged, Sue Apple for false advertisement. She has done her job plain and simple.

If you are trying to sell what you don't have, you are in trouble.

1. Not sure what your Mercedes example means. They will tell you that unless the car is on the lot, that if you order it, you will get it sometime in the summer - maybe July.

2. Apple did say the watches will be in short supply relative to the large demand. There was even a statement on their website about that. The fact that people ignored that and got their hopes up is their fault, not Apple's.

3. They aren't selling what they don't have. They are taking orders for product and producing them as fast as they can. They don't book the sale till the product ships, so they are not in trouble at all. No different than any other company that has a popular product with demand outstripping supply.

Did you ever try to buy a Turbo Man action figure in 1996?
Arnold Schwarzenegger did and let me tell you, it was not easy!!

Geez, don't people understand supply and demand anymore?
