So a friend informed me of a site which can track your order before its been assigned tracking info etc on Apple's website, its called aftership.com and lists apple in its supported courier/retailers section.

I'm in the UK and preordered the 42mm Space grey Sport watch at 08:04 and got given the delivery time slot of 4-6 weeks (May 12th-26th), however when I put my order details into this webpage it told me my product was linked somehow (I'm guessing being stored) at Asendia USA. Now I'm in England so what's it doing over there? This leads me to believe that they aren't shipping direct from China, however surely they'd of sent it to a UK warehouse such as Syncreon, which is who they have used in the UK previously.

I'm new to all this but am a massive speculator and love investigating as I'm so excited! I could indeed be wrong but if I'm not... What's taking them so long? I presumed we had such a long wait as the 4-6 week group's watches had either not been manufactured, or were still being packaged, i.e they were putting the blue sport band with the aluminium watch?

EDIT: I couldn't get my images to upload correctly, so here's some TinyPic links to view them on there!

I would be some what worried about putting my order into on a third party website

There's nothing they can do with that information, they don't have my email, billing address or any other info, its fairly similar to putting it into say FedEx or UPS for example.

Something fishy about your post, seems to take from this post, in the delivery dates 4/24 - 5/8 thread and reguritate it here, despite in that thread, the aftership.com site being shot down....

So, I did what a couple people were saying and put my order number into AfterShip com and it shows a company and phone number. I googled the number and it's for a parcel company in Folcroft, PA. If I read correct, this is a location close to one of Apple's distribution centers.

So, this leads me to believe that some, if not all, of the "first wave" apple watches are in the states (for US).

Please know that I am new to this "tracking" thing and understand that I may be incorrect. I am only trying to assist in this "investigation." :D

As we all are aware, details are sure to come in the coming week, but every clue and piece of info helps! hahaha

Signed,
Impatient MR Newbie :)

Yep, all you had to put in was your order number, no email, no phone number, just your Apple order n.o :)

I just went to that website it asks for a tracking number not a order number. In that case your apple order numbered must have matched the format and tracking number of a U.S regional shipping company. I have yet this day been able to ever track a package by order number. Just my theory you may be correct but again a theory

Sorry if I've shared something that's not correct, just thought I'd let everyone know about a possible hunch, did say I'm a newbie and wasn't 100% sure! Thanks for clarifying! :)

I'm in this club, two 38mm space gray sport. Store didn't come up till 3:03 EST, placed my first order at 3:05, second at 3:06. It took that long just to check out. I an wait but after the fitting wife wants the 42mm and there's no way to get her that without canceling one of the orders and reordering for delivery in June. The 14 day exchange policy is not much use if the stores don't have any watches in stock. Funky.

----------

Has any one seen movement on their CC, I think I read that some or the first wave saw pre-authorization on theirs.

Nada. Everything is sitting just like the minute after I placed my orders.

----------

I placed my order exactly 3 minutes after pre-order started (have receipt dated 12:04 to prove it), and if my watch hasn't shipped by Friday next week then I will cancel the order and buy a Nexus 6 + AndroidWear watch. That's not a threat, it's a fact.

I have given Apple too much money over the years to be screwed around like this.

Wow. Well, as Steve Jobs said, that will definitely make a dent in the universe.

Yes, ditto. And I don't see Apple listed as a courier. Fishy.

4-6weeks (Deliever May 13 - May 27th) pre-orders

How again were you screwed? Please eat a snickers or 5...

I'll give you a dollar if you cancel, and go through with your "threat". Start a kickstarter for the nexus 6 and android watch. Ill back it!

At least when you cancel someone else (maybe me) will get it sooner.

I'll give a dollar if u cancel! Apple doesn't owe that person anything... Hey we all have this tug of impatience in our gut... We just have to wait it out... A month from now, we will be having fun with are awesome watches and thinking back how much time we spent on these threads

----------

I'm curious.... Does anyone have friends buying the apple watch...? All my friends said they will wait till its in stores or for 2nd gen... I have no one to play those cool friend emotions things with!

Is anyone in the same boat as me?!

Haha here also. Some of my friends are diehard Apple Fanboys bot they are not buying the watch.

Only my brother and father in Law are going to buy it. So if I must I have someone to send the watch specific stuff to.

Well said...

The Android Wear watches are advanced calculators that loose connection to the phone and then become useless. If you download an app on the watch, which they do not recommend, the watch becomes very unresponsive.

The Apple Watch is well worth the wait and it plays very well with the iPhone 6. A friend has reported that it is very responsive, smooth and they have yet to have any issues with connectivity between the iPhone 6 and the Apple Watch.

There will plenty around. My entire family prordered so we will have unbareable connection.

It makes a great his and hers engagement gift.

With what I've seen so far for the sport space grey, 3:04 was the turning point.. 3:05 and later is mid May, 3:03 and earlier is launch day, 3:04 is tricky, some got launch day some got mid May... Lol seconds

Space Black SS was 4-6 weeks from the get go. I ordered mine 30 sec after the site went live. I have yet to hear of anyone who got a better ship date than that on it. Either they didn't have any ready to ship, or they have a very limited supply and us early birds are going to get them sooner. Here's hopin'

When I pre-ordered my 6+ last year the shipment actually originated in Pennsylvania. If orders somehow do get bumped up to wave 1 don't be surprised if there's no tracking info till Wednesday.

I'm thinking the getting bumped up is a giant IF at this point.

I'm just going into my deep interstellar style sleep, set to wake up May 13, if my 42mm SS with black sport band is there, perfect. If not, then back to sleep I go.

The fact that the 38mm SS w/ sport band is still at 4-6 weeks on the website gives me hope that I'll have mine bumped up. I ordered around 10 minutes after pre orders went live, so I think I'd be in the pool for a move up.

Which watch did you order?

Same situation I'm in...I ordered the silver link bracelet, also 4-6 weeks from the start. My order was completed at 3:03 EST, so I'm hoping it will ship sooner than the dates the apple site says.

Which watch did you order?

38mm Stainless Steel with the black sport band. And then after trying it in store I bought a Milanese loop separate.

I'm hoping all of these people that bought both and then went with the 42mm instead and cancelled their 38mm order bumps me up enough to get it within the next week or two.
