4-6weeks (Deliever May 13 - May 27th) pre-orders

Secondly, I would be livid if I waited in line all day and they didn't even have the model I was wanting to buy. This was the best way to handle this launch. I agree about the many different SKUs, I think it would have been easier to allow mix and match on their end. Then you would pick your watch face then your band which would each be packaged separately.
 
I didnt even order any special configuration for the watch just your standard 38 MM space gray with black sport band and have to wait this long. stupid supply restraint issues.

What I'm surprised at is Apple didn't just ship a White-band Aluminum and Space Gray Sport and then sell the extra color bands.

I think it's arguable that the Space Gray color itself is a "special configuration" and hence was much more popular than the standard silver aluminum.

It's whatever telephone number you have registered to your Apple account. Apple has that on record with your billing / shipping information. I don't know the details about how this works with UPS but I think it can be used as a reference to look up shipping information.

No luck regarding this on my end, however.

Your watch is just as "unconfigured" as everyone else's. They're all standard choices, but your watch is in higher demand due to there only being one version of the space gray in your size.
 
It will be some time before any of those tracking tricks work for us unfortunately. :(

Considering the wave 1 thread has a lot of folks that haven't been charged yet I don't think we are going to have anyone moved up just yet. It is early in the week though.
 
just ordered an extra charging cable and it says may 4th through may 7th going to get that before my apple watch :rolleyes:

  • you know how many products are needed in each store
  • there is a specified number of stores (locations) in d1 countries making it easier do deliver large quantities
  • the queue expirience remains and everyone is happy since they know that they will get their :apple:Watch on day 1 :)

This isn't possible. Because there are so many SKUs, someone would get screwed with this method. I don't have an Apple Store near me for example. I ordered Space Black, If Apple has to send so much stock of that model to stores, my availability suffers, and vice versa. No matter what, because of supply constraints, someone is going to end up waiting a long time. There is just no way around this.

Maybe, but it still seems extremely complicated to do, and you would probably end up with people complaining that their band is backordered and so on.

There's one guy on Reddit who says he was in the 4-6 week range and his 42mm Space Gray Sport watch has been changed to preparing for shipment. He doesn't have a history of trolling or lying, so I wouldn't call him a liar... but even if he's telling the truth, that's only one account I've seen.

You don't necessarily need a tracking number to track shipments. You can search for a shipment via references, such as a phone number, address, name, date range etc.

You can see more info by going here and clicking "Track by Reference": http://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html

And clicking the "?" next to "Shipping Reference"

Eh, calling BS as literally no one else has gotten the same thing. Either BS or incredible luck...a lot of SS wave one people haven't even been charged yet.
 
So whats the difference between the charging cable 1m and 2m? Is that just the length? I was contemplating ordering a second to keep at the office.
 
Well if apple decides to ship my ss milanese combo for launch or saturday that will save me a few bucks to reship and face custom charges.
