Some new information on Apple Watches in the US.
Through Flightaware.com, I figured out that every business day from 9:30CST to 12:50AKDT there is a flight from Shanghai Pudong to Anchorage.

The flight that flew today.
Now, since during the iPhone launch, 200,000 iPhones could be transferred on each plane, and the boxing for the Apple Watch is bigger than the iPhone, I very roughly estimated 100,000 Apple Watches per plane. This is going off of the boxing for the Stainless Steel Apple Watch that can be seen in this CNET unboxing video here:

But this is the tricky part. This same flight has been being flown from Pudong to Anchorage for an unknown amount of time. I can see it all the way back to December on Flightaware.com. So, I conservatively just took the 5 flights from last week and the 3 flights so far this week. That's a total of 8 flights.
8 flights x 100,000 Apple Watches/flight = 800,000 Apple Watches in the US.
Since we saw here,
https://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/12/apple-watch-1-million-preorders-us/, that an estimated 1 million Apple Watches were sold on April 10th in the US, that should mean that most everyone who pre-ordered an Apple Watch on the 10th should get one Friday. BUT, depending on the model, this may not be the case. Although many sport bands are "preparing to ship", the SG Watch, link bracelets, and the leather bands have been slow to change status.
This also doesn't even take into account that Anchorage could just be a stop for Watches for other countries, like Canada. But the biggest thing is that it seems that the Watches don't go directly from Anchorage to the airport nearest you. Anchorage is a customs stop on the way to the Worldport, UPS's international airhub (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worldport_(UPS_air_hub)), and then from there they fly to your homes. Once again, every business day, there is a flight from Anchorage to Louisville, crucially, after the flight from Pudong arrives.

Remember, though, that, also, only taking the past 8 flights of Pudong to Anchorage drops the number of Apple Watches severely. One extra flight and it's another 100,000 Apple Watches (but once again, the 100,000 is also based on a rough estimate). Anyway, I hope this has cleared up some confused minds.
