4.7-Inch iPhone 6 Set to Begin Mass Production This Month, 5.5-Inch in August

I, and maybe lots of others, aren't going to order online right away if they really do release two sizes. I'll have to try them both in hand, in the store, before making the choice. This would depress Apple's initial sales numbers, with a surge happening a month or two later. Sh:t I should be an analyst with such brilliance.
The 5.5" is real and is going to happen. They will have to do something to compete with the G3. I recently bought one and hands down it is the best electronic device I have ever owned. The screen alone blows everything else out of the water.
In your mind you may think it is too big, but in reality it works. People are hungry for bigger screens, Apple for once will have to do something to fill a need, rather than sit back and dictate what the market will bear. I think they may have learned their lesson with the overproduction of the 5C and the underproduction of the 5S.

Just out of curiosity... are you going on record as saying there will not be an iWatch? Because there have been no leaks of parts/photos for it...

Good news for those that want it. I just got used to switching from the 4S to the 5S, so I'll hold on to it for a little longer.
I'm pretty tired of Android and am looking to jump back to iPhone. I am, like many others, undecided about which size to get. I don't want to wait in line, so I am thinking I will order a 5.5" version. If I like it, I'll keep it. If I don't I have 2 weeks to exchange it for a 4.7" And from the sound of it the 4.7" will be in much higher supply.
Plus after seeing the battery rumors I am thinking the 5.5" will have better battery life.

I'm hoping to see a 4" iPhone 6 to go along with the 4.7" iPhone. I just got the wife an iPhone 5C, and it's quite a good size. I'd prefer a slightly larger phone (e.g. 4.2" like on the BB Z10, or 4.3" like on the Galaxy S2), but it's absolutely perfect for her.
Any word on a 4" model? I've only read reports on the 4.7" and 5.5" models.

They may be trying to master multi-tasking on a phone screen, or some other features where you'd need more space on a phone. Otherwise, it kind of goes against Apple's overall stance.

I'd agree. I went down to my Best Buy and looked at the G3 - that screen is just what a iPhone needs.
I would love to feel what the 5.5" model will feel like before purchasing.

Some poster once said that they though the speculation of the 5.5 could be an ipod touch replacement/update......that would be cool.

I don't know why, the apps will continue to be very different I think. There is a huge size difference still, what do you think??? 5,5 has nothing to do with 7,9 , have you ever tried a 5+'' phone?
ONLY if the resolution is better than the 4.7". Not a given the way the MBAs running Apple like to skimp on things.
There haven't been any legitimate leaks of the 4.7 either. Maybe they are sticking with the 4".
