Why is going to get ugly.
I think every retailer has a blurb about typos and not needing to honor them.

BestBuy had something similar with their hi-def TVs and didn't "honor" the mistaken price. Dell, too had a bad price. The list goes on and on.

FWIW, the link is dead now

Bad choice of words, it could get ugly. If you read my other posts about this I mention the typo. It's a common blurb found on websites selling anything today.

Something like that happened with Best Buy back in November. The order was cancelled, but they did offer me a $10 credit for my trouble.

Oh well... free money :D

Just got my email from Amazon.

They canceled my order.

Oh, well. It was worth a shot.

Forget email, im going for the supervisor :)

Be sure to show him the link that was provided to you in the email from Amazon about Target's pricing policies, which includes:

Confirmed Prices and Pricing Errors
We cannot confirm the price of an item until your order enters the shipping process nor will we charge your credit card until your order enters the shipping process.

Please note that your Order Acknowledgment means that your order request has been received; it does not mean that your order has been shipped or that the price of an item has been confirmed.

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items on our Web site may be mispriced. As part of our shipping procedures, we verify price before an item is shipped out.

• If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and ship you the item.
If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price we will cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation via email.

It's called a mis print, they happen more than you think. You're not entitled to anything beyond them canceling the mistake and possibly emailing you an apology. They are well within their rights to cancel the orders when a price is mistakenly published incorrectly.

Good luck with your email, it'll get you nowhere.

I have got $85 from amazon because of a Pepsi Points ordeal...I had tried to have 100+ points refunded for over a month, called multiple times, spoke to multiple supervisors...still no refund, kept calling and in the end they just ended up giving me Amazon credit.

Man would I hate to serve you as a customer lol.. I mean it too

We got pwned!

Nothing like that. I mean if you were able to get it for the price, great, but realistically the odds were against you.

When I mentioned best buy had a similar snafu with hi-def TVs, I tried to buy one :D

I was shocked and appalled they did not honor it ;)

We didn't get "pwnd", we all tried to take advantage of a misprint, had high hopes that they'd honor the misprint, but they did not. They're able to do this, as I've repeatedly stated, because they do have language in their site's TOS that simply gets them out of misprints.

I got my cancellation e-mail very late last night.
